Wedding Attire with Tulle Dress
A fresh haircut! I always feel so stylish the day of my haircut! It had been almost 4 month and knowing that my friend was going out of town for a month, I texted her to see when she could get me in! With a fresh haircut, I wanted to take advantage of taking some pictures with an outfit I am planning to wear to a wedding this September. This is one of two weddings I will be attending, and while the other one’s outfit is going to take more thought (I am the sponsor which means I will be standing behind the bride the whole wedding), this idea came to me quickly.

I wore this beautiful strapless tulle dress several times last fall (here and here and even for winter) and want to wear it again this year, so what better time than a celebratory day! Since it is an Orthodox wedding and it will be fall, I needed my arms covered, so the idea of a contrasting kimono came in. It also tones down the tulle skirt part of the dress a little which I wanted in this case.
A couple of small magnets keep the kimono in place so I can wear a regular bra and I really like my choice of accessories. I am not sure I will wear these heels since they are pretty high and an Orthodox wedding typically last about 45 minutes which are all standing minutes… I do love the tan with the outfit though!

I also have a Goddaughter’s baby shower to attend this month, so it sure is a celebratory couple of months. It’s pretty fun! The last wedding I went to was that Goddaughter’s wedding a few years ago and it was a February wedding. You can peek at what I wore in this post!

So now that I have the September wedding attire figured out, I actively shopped for my dress for the August wedding. I thrifted a sage dress after ordering 2 Amazon dresses which did not work. I am sure will share pictures of what I end up wearing, I have some ideas for accessories and I most likely will wear these heels!
A bientôt!

Such an elegant and sophisticated ensemble! I would have never considered this color pairing; the color of the kimono and clutch really accentuate and elevate the look and are perfect for a late summer/fall wedding! Well done!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I do love tulle, it’s always fun, dramatic and festive at the same time. Great idea that kimono.

This is such a beautiful outfit for a wedding or a baby shower. I really like the combinations of colors. I don’t know that I could stand in heels for 45 minutes these days!

So pictures of this look on IG and had to come over to learn more. You look sensational. That tulle dress is magical. Love the way you ‘jazzed’ it up with the bold color in the kimono. And your hair looks so, so, so good. I like the shorter length. Very flattering. You will be the belle of the weddings and the shower!!

Thank you! I really love this combination and I am looking forward to wearing it to that wedding. I just decided I will wear my ombre skirt to my Goddaughter’s baby shower.

Oh wow, Mireille, this is such a great weddding outfit! I love the tulle dress paired with a flowy kimono and belted for some structure. Absolutely stunning! We are going to a wedding in Florida in a few weeks that is semiformal and they requested everyone wear a specific blue color palette. I just finished suiting up my husband and kids and they are going to look so good in various shades of blue suits. I, on the other hand, am struggling to decide what to wear. It’s mid-August in the Florida panhandle so I expect the temperatures be hovering between 90-100. I guess whatever I wear, I’m going to melt regardless!
