Velvet Joggers: 5 ways
I am all about versatility in my closet so when I picked up these velvet joggers at Kohls before the holidays, I wanted to share that they do not need to be relegated to being worn one month of the year or for special occasions but they can be worn at any time. So today I am sharing a few dressy ways to wear them as well as some casual looks. Since I had to change after each picture, we took these pictures around the house instead of a pretty location.
Frenchie
One of my husband’s uncles has always called me Frenchie! And with this pretty tunic and my beret, I feel like I am channeling some French vibes. I tried to use some very different tops in these outfits and this tunic is probably 7 years old or so. I enjoy wearing something new on a date with the hubby and I remember finding it at TJMaxx one day before going out with my husband.
Casual
You can’t be anymore casual than a sweatshirt and sneakers. Shopping your closet can be really fun if you let go of categorizing your closet.
Red Sweater
When I pulled this outfit together, I realized I hadn’t worn this sweater but once or twice this year, so I left it out to wear later on. I found that the shoes that paired the best with the joggers were low shaft ones. Everything but the joggers was purchased at Target over the years.
Casual with Plaid
When I created this outfit, I decided this would be one of my outfits of the week as this plaid shirt hasn’t seen the light of the day this year. Comfortable and casual and I like that the bracelet and earrings add a little edge to the look.
Dressed Up
Velvet, sequins, heels, dangly earrings and statement necklace… Add a little makeup and I am ready to go out! The necklace is a pretty trinket I found in Baux de Provence in the South of France in 1998! It’s a pretty souvenir that reminds me of my first trip back after I moved from France. I met up with my high school friend and we spend about 10 days visiting the Provence together. I met up with her again in 2019 on our last trip to France and had the greatest time.
There you have it, 5 ways to wear velvet joggers! Which is your favorite?

Oh I really like all of these! I have a pair of velvet leggins that I just got at Christmas and I have been trying to mix them with more outfits to wear all the time since they are so comfy (but they are burgundy and harder to pair with “other” things in my wardrobe). My favorite is your “Frenchie” outfit. I love the sleeves of that tunic and am now trying to think of what I can pair with my vests and leggings….

Just put some different tops next to yours and see how they play together: I am thinking prints or different sweaters! Love that I am giving you a little push to wear your velvet leggings!

The velvet joggers are really cute. They can be dresssed up or down. Also — I really like your collection of ankle boots. They’re the perfect complement to the velvet joggers.

I’m so glad you’re showing these styled even casually Mireille. Sometimes I think we obsess over a detail (like velvet) and think it’s only fancy (or casual) and yet most people don’t even notice the detail like we do.
I think my favorite is the vest over that tunic…I love the layers.
XOXO
