Zella cargo pants review

One of my first posts last year was about investment pieces, items that I was willing to spend more money on, knowing the versatility and the longivity of the piece. A couple of years ago, I bought a pair of Zella joggers that I continue to wear frequently in the spring and summer especially when traveling. When I saw Erin from Living in Yellow shared the Zella Getaway Cargo pants, I knew they were my next new pair of joggers.

They seem to be made of the same material as my old joggers and the description is 88% recycled polyester, 12% spandex with 90% recycled polyester, 10% spandex ribbing. As my old pair, they dry quickly and are very comfortable. While they are called cargo pants, probably because of the pockets, I would call them joggers since they have a wide elactic panel at the waist and elastic gathering at the ankle. The material is light weight which makes it practical for different seasons. They are a little dusty from chalk in the above picture.

Yes, these joggers are $75 and I bought them full price. I have worn my other pair close to 30 times if not 30 times already and they are still going strong. I know I will wear these at least that many times. I have already worn them 5 times in the past month but only took these 2 pictures.

I would give these a 5 star review:

  • comfort: high waisted with a wide band that stays in place.
  • material dries quickly: you could hand wash it on a trip and hang it to dry to wear the next day
  • light weight material that can work 3 out of 4 seasons
  • choice of 3 colors
  • material durabilty (my old pair still looks new after about 30 wears)

The only thing that is not perfect about these pants are the cargo pockets: they sometimes catch on things such as cabinet knobs.

I think these could be dressed up with a cute pair of sandals and a dressy top and I am sure you will see them quite often in my outfits of the day over the next couple of months.

A bientôt!
