Mimic Monday with Jodie

When I spent the weekend in Arizona with Jodie, we took the time to take two sets of blog pictures. The first set featuring beige monochromatic outfits, I shared a week or so ago. For today’s post, Jodie and I chose one of each other’s past outfits to mimic. I did a search of spring outfits on her website, and this one caught my attention since I knew I had a similar style burgundy blouse.

While I do not have bright pants like hers, I thought my white pants provided a sharp contrast to the burgundy top, and after buying these fun heels, I selected them instead of my striped wedges. The second reason I chose these shoes was that I knew Jodie had them which allowed me not to pack them in my suitcase!

My thrifted top is so pretty with the lace overlay and despite not wearing it very often, I really like it. When I bought these cropped white jeans at Cato’s, I made sure to size up and then went home to get rid of my white skinny jeans that were not so white anymore. I really love the frayed hem of these which gives them a fun summer vibe.

Accessories are a great way to add prints and color to outfits. Since burgundy is more of a fall color, I chose my earrings, bracelets and shows to bring bright colors.

I am sure you noticed the difference in quality of the pictures: Jodie’s husband Rob took them, thank you!

After our pictures, we ate at the restaurant where this mural was. Delicious! If you are in the Phoenix area, be sure to check Pita Jungle! Sadly they only have them in Arizona!
