Charleston: What to Wear

While I did love all of my outfits on this trip, it was a little warm at times. I am itching to wear some fall clothes but we are still having some pretty warm temperatures and Charleston was a few degrees warmer than Atlanta. Without further ado, here is what I wore!

The first thing we did after we checked in at our hotel was head to the beach (Folly beach) as a treat for the kids. I wore my zella joggers for the roadtrip and they worked out well for the beach as I was able to pull the legs up. This fun tee that I got on Poshmark has been one of my favorite graphic tees as you may have noticed!

I actually lost one of these earrings (the 2nd time losing one, I found the lost one the first time around after a year: in a shoe) but this time I lost it at the hotel so I don’t expect it to reappear. Disappointed but glad I got to wear them again. My addidas are always on repeat on trips because they go with everything and great for walking. I will be sharing this new backpack with my Friday favorites on Friday.

Our first full day in Charleston was spent visiting the city on foot (I will be sharing that on Wednesday). There were so many pretty spot for taking pictures! It is a very picturesque city.

When you can’t wear layers, grab a light scarf! I really love how the florals played against the leopard tee! Never discount the Target dollar spot, I found this scarf for $3 several years ago there. Cuffed my jeans to show a little ankle between the jeans and booties. I had forgotten how comfortable this grey pair was. You can’t see it in the picture but they have little studs on that faux buckle.

I brought my fall dress in hopes I would wear be able to wear it. I wore it to go out to eat at Fleet Landing and because we walked I knotted it so I would trip over it: you can see here how long it is (I was wearing the grey booties from above which have a very low heel).

We visited Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site and chose my joggers once again since we would be walking around. This was a neat place to visit in Summerville which is 30 minutes from Charleston. We even got to see an alligator!

I think my favorite two outfits were the ones with scarves! Once again I was a little warm but the scarf was a fun additon to a basic jean and tee outfit.

Notice the shoe behind my hand? Carrying my almost 3 year old in my Ergo carrier! The cutest accessory but hiding in this pic!

We started at the beach and ended at the beach. Before we left we stopped by Sullivan’s Island for a little time on the beach! It was fun to dip our toes and the boys enjoyed digging in the sand. Wearing my beautiful necklace once again from Michelle’s Etsy shop at MyBijouLifeOnline.com.

Hope you enjoyed this little look at my vacation outfits. I felt like I had planned well however I did not wear the layers I brought since the weather didn’t cool off much in the evening. I think the most important thing I packed were shoes since we did a lot of walking and I had comfort and style on my side.

A bientĂ´t!
