Winter to Spring Wardrobe with the Ageless Style Link Up
Since I touched on this subject of transitioning your closet from winter to spring wardrobe in this Spring dress 3 ways post and with Ada in my Color denim post, I decided to not focus on one way to make your wardrobe work but share my favorite 3 ways I wear outfits when the weather is all over the place. Living outside of Atlanta, GA, we do get some cold and wet days at the end of winter but also some days with very mild temperatures. Some days, layers are needed while on other days, a light scarf might feel like to much. So the month of March is typically the time when I wear the following:
Light Scarves
Very quickly, it gets too hot in the south to wear scarves but I do love how they add interest to an outfit. Now is the time to wear one on mild days. I have a collection of light weight scarves my favorite being triangular ones preferably with tassels but I also like the ease of a infinity scarf. Here are a few of my outfits with scarves I wore these past few weeks.
This was a dollar spot scarf from Target several years back: one of my favorite colors and tassels!
Another fun floral scarf (this one from the gift shop at Cracker Barrel) with stripes and added another print with the shoes.
I am not sure where this little infinity scarf came from but I still pull it out once or twice in the spring and in the fall.
This last one Is a little more substantial than my other ones and I found it in a local boutique. I associate it with Paris now though because I wore it on our day trip in Paris, France in 2019. Ah, the good old days of traveling!
Denim Jacket
I made a few bad outfit choices on cooler days by not wearing a jacket so I remedied that by looking at the forecast to plan outfits with my jackets on the 50 degree days. I added this new mustard jacket in February and I love the pop of color.
Just like the jacket above, this is a Kut from the Kloth jacket and I love it too.
Kimonos
Another way to add interest to your outfit in the late winter/early spring is to wear your kimonos. I like that I can wear my kimonos with short or long sleeves tees and I love creating a little more fun by doing some pattern mixing with them.
How about a grey leopard tee with a patterned kimono?
Stripes and florals are also an easy one to style. The long sleeve tee give the extra warmth while the kimono give more interest to the outfit.
How do you transition your outfits in between seasons! I am sure in depends in great part upon where you live. Don’t forget to visit the ladies from the Ageless Style Link Up to see how they do that!

I wear scarves more in the spring than I do any other time of the year. They are great for when there is still a nip in the air, or throwing over my shoulders in an air conditioned building. Love all your spring outfits.

Thanks, Amy! Yes, spring is a great time for them!

I am so jealous of your warm weather temps right now (though I won’t envy you at all come summer!). These are all great ways to transition your wardrobe. I tend to use scarves a lot too.

Lol! Summer is not fun after a while here for sure between the heat, humidity and mosquitoes!

These are all great looks! I only have a couple of spring scarf because I so rarely wear them in spring. But they surely add interest to an outfit! I especially love the yellow floral scarf as well as the pretty blue/pink/white with diamond/zigzag pattern.
Thanks for co-hosting the linkup!

Three great and easy ways to add an extra layer for when the sun is out but the temperatures are still a bit on the cool side.

I don’t know why I have gotten out of the habit of wearing scarves. They really can complete a look. I’m not inspired to add a scarf to a look.

I forget about them typically unless is is a little chilly! I have a couple that I truly love so need to rotate them in more often.

I love how your bright scarves really transform a simple striped shirt! You’ve motivated me to get some of my Spring/colorful scarves out this week… I have a ton of striped shirts to wear them with!

The scarves are so pretty. I like the pops of color. Those kimonos are lovely as well. I really need to start wearing mine.

Thanks, Daenel! I like to really pull out things I don’t wear as often when I have a no shopping month so this month was good for that.

Hi five, sister!! We thought along the same lines with our transition pieces. Scarves…love those gauzy, floaty scarves. And the ones you featured are so pretty and say ‘spring’ with their pretty palettes. And terrific pattern mixing. So much fun to do. Gosh, that yellow jacket is like sunshine in a piece of clothing. So bright and cheerful. And I am a huge fan of a good kimono. It is so hot here but can be so cold in places where the AC is cranked up. Kimonos are the perfect solution.

I need to check your post! I usually don’t mind the ac in the summer but then a kimono is definetely a nice addition.

I love tassel scarves, too, Mireille! And you know how I feel about kimonos! I really like that red one a lot! You have so many wonderful transitional outfits in this post! Thanks for sharing and linking with me.

Thanks, Shelbee! I have really managed some good combos shopping my closet this month. I guess I am becoming a better shopper.
