Inspired by 5 Different Bloggers for Outfits of the Day
Week 4 without shopping for any clothing! If you know me, that is an accomplishment! To help me in my endeavor (I want to keep at shopping my closet without adding anything new till the 1st of the year), I am taking inspiration from other bloggers to put together some new outfits using what I already have. This means that an outfit will not be an exact copy of another but will be inspired by it and replicated in a loose manner. So here are real outfits that I have worn these past couple of weeks.
Inspired by Living on Cloud Nine
I don’t think I had paired a vest with these joggers before so I pulled out this hand me down vest for the first time and found a pair of earrings to match. I often get tempted to buy things that Andrea shares on her blog so I am trying not to click on her links and be even more tempted when I read her posts. I admire from afar!
Inspired by the Queen in Between
Shelly is another woman whose style is similar to mine and she often inspires me to copy her outfits. This week I paired this really old Target tank dress of mine with one of my two plaid shirts. I don’t think I had ever tried a plaid shirt over a dress before to my great surprise.
Inpired by I do DeClaire
Claire from I do deClaire has a super cute style too. I got inspired to pull out my black jeans which I had thought to replace but realized they still probably have a couple more years of wear. Paired with my shacket and neutral combat boots, it made for a fun fall outfit.
Inspired by Doused in Pink
I waited for a cooler day to wear this (today!) since I would overheat quickly with the poncho otherwise. Now I should have been smiling and showing my burgundy earrings not hiding them but you get the idea! I picked this poncho last summer during Loft’s summer sale. I am proud of myself from not shopping their sale this summer but I will say when I did last year it was with a gift card in hand from one of my husband’s client. So technically it was free money! Right now I think I want to find some Caite and Kyla pieces on Poshmark or Thredup when I get back to shopping. I have been admiring Jill’s (here’s her blog) pieces as well as (Granolandgrace) but do not want to pay full price so I think that will be a good place to start.
Inspired by Cammi Happy Place
I pulled out my black jeans for the second time this week and my lovely cardigan wrap (my only longish cardigan) with my taupe booties to copy Cammi’s look. Having basics like this, neutrals that can work with anything allows endless possibilities to create new outfits. Change the colors of the jeans and booties to create a different look! Cammi (CammiAllen) has some really nice pieces in her closet and lives in a beautiful part of the US (you need to watch her stories when she takes walk and the views from her house). I think she lives in Utah.

Love seeing your versions of these outfits! I also follow these ladies, and am always pinning outfit ideas, but don’t always get around to putting my own together.

I usually try to do this when I am tempted to buy something new: it reminds me that I have more than enough!

You are the cutest thing. I am so proud to call you friend. Love how you took all of these great looks and tweeked them just a bit to make them your own. Shorter black skirt for Shelly’s look. Taupe rather than camel for Cammi’s look. You are just adorable. I want to try the joggers/vest combo. I think I can replicate all of these outfits, too!! Pinning.

Thanks, Leslie! This is one of my favorite things to do: copyin outfits without having to buy a single thing.
