Inspired by Jess: Preloved from Head to Toe

A few weeks ago, I took a pictures of one of Jess’ outfits (Elegantly Dressed and Stylish) because I thought it would be a perfect outfit for me to replicate one spring day. What I didn’t realize was that each similar item that I had was actually thrifted or a hand me down. How cool is that! I even took pictures in my neighborhood next to a flowering tree which is reminiscent of where she took her pictures. This is not the first time I have replicated one of Jess’ outfits (see here).

I already have an idea for next month Inpired by post and it is also one inspired by a fellow blogger I have already wrote a post replicating an outfit: probably why I enjoy reading their posts so much! I love their style and want to copy their outfits over and over.

As I mentioned before all of the pieces in this outfit (minus the earrings which I bought on clearance at Cracker Barrel) are preloved. The Michael Kors purse was a hand me down from a church friend who did not like pink. It is a fun bag that I should carry more often!

The shoes (Chinese Laundry brand) and the pants are from a consigment store I enjoy browsing and shopping at called Revive. It’s been a few months since I visited especially that I haven’t shopped in about 5 weeks now! No worries, I have some gift money burning a hole in my pocket and I plan to pick up a couple floral blouses or something else for spring soon. But I sure have enjoyed shopping my closet. I can’t believe the limitless possibilities.

I do not remember where I picked up the blouse, it could have been Goodwill and the pink bracelet was from estate and jewelry sale I went to and where I met Tania from 50 is not old (a pictures of us is at the end of this post). So yes, thrifting is a great way to find original pieces for a fraction of the full cost and a way to give new life to items. Most of my thrifted finds have a long life in my closet but I do buy the occasional piece that I donate within a year.

Here is a close up of the accessories since the pictures don’t show them so well. I haven’t really worn these open toe booties out and about since I picked them up for $12 but I really like the color and heel on them. The upper part is very soft and they are easy to put on with a back zipper.

A bientôt!
