Gifted and Thrifted: Outfit under $5

There are some fun aspects of blogging that I have enjoyed in small doses one of which is working with different brands and receiving free products and some income from sales generated through your coupon code. I haven’t worked with many (Clara Sunwoo, I love their products and my favorite has been my liquid leather skinny pocket pants , code MIREILLE10; Halftee, my favorite two are the lace halftee in this outfit and the cap sleeve white halftee, code MIREILLE20, and a couple other ones). Another perk is entering giveaways on blogs and IG and occasionally winning something. Lastly is sharing my love of fashion, thrifting and having fun getting dressed with my readers.

This outfit is a perfect example of what I just shared: I spent less than $5 on this outfit:

  • blazer, thrifted $3
  • Soft Surrounding pants, thrifted 75c
  • Vivaia booties, giveaway prize
  • lace Halftee, brand collab
  • earrings: gift from my brother

This was the first time I wore the blazer even though I bought it several months ago. I love the color and that is what also caught my eye when I saw the pants just last month. It’s a fun bird and leaves print with gold metallic accents. I wore this to my son’s Wax Museum exhibition at school: he was Pablo Picasso.

It is amazing the difference in a winter day when the sun is out! Your mood brightens, you want to spend time outdoors and just enjoy it to the maximum. I did manage a 4 mile walk later that afternoon with a friend.

Even if I was a little dressed up, this was a comfortable outfit to wear all day: the pants are stretchy and pull on and the blazer fits me well. I wonder how I will style it next: more than likely over a dress this spring!
