Graphic Tees: A Great Season Transition Tool
When I realized that I had not worn a graphic tee since fall, I decided it would be great to incorporate my favorites in my late winter outfits. Layers were needed in the mornings but it warmed up in the afternoon, so you can imagine each outfit without the topper. I tried to create a variety of looks and included a skirt outfit.
With a Blazer
This is probably my favorite way to wear a blazer: pair it with a graphic tee and denim in a casual manner. This mushroom tee from Target is still available and was a new addition this fall before our family trip to Costa Rica. Both the blazer and jeans were thrifted a couple of years ago.
With a Neutral Look
I love color but I also love neutrals. Here is an example of an outfit that I really enjoyed wearing. Pants, shacket and tee are all from Old Navy and from the last 2 years. The Inspired tee is sold out in all sizes but L at the time of this post. It was another buy from our Costa Rica trip.
Bright like a Light
On the other color spectrum is this outfit with a very colorful pair of pants. I decided to add my pink combat boots instead of my white sneakers that I would usually pair with them. My Costa Rica tee picks up the burgundy in the pants (identical to the pair above in a different print.
With a Denim Skirt
Another favorite way to wear a graphic tee: with a simple skirt: I could have paired it with my knit skirt from Halftee but it isn’t super warm yet. So this light wash denim skirt was my next choice. I love the addition of the colorful shacket (I received several compliments on it) and my newer Adidas platform sneakers. I am going to be wearing those a lot this spring!
With a Cardigan
I do not wear my cardigans a lot (which is why I do not have a lot of them), but they are a fun topper for a change. This one is a hand me down from a friend and I love the black embroidery detail on it. I carried the grey to my shoes too.
Lastly, I added a long cardigan over my heart tee which might be the oldest graphic tee in my closet. Each year, I look at it and decide that it has at least one more year of life to it!

That purple blazer – the color is stunning! Where is your denim skirt from? It might be too long for me, but it’s perfect on you!

It was from a store called Gabe’s. It’s kind of a cross of Ross and TJMaxx.

I like to wear one with a cardigan and either jeans, or a casual pair of pants. I like how you paired these outfits!

Thanks, Jennifer!

That’s a good reminder to buy tees like that for summer! Love them and they also look great on printed skirts or trousers!

Yes! I love them with printed skirts!

I agree that these are perfect for seasonal transitions because they have a lot of interest for wearing alone but also layer extremely well. I like every one of these outfits, but the mushroom T + sharp violet blazer really caught my eye. The wide leg jeans look terrific with the cut of that blazer.

That outfit really did turn out nice.

You have a good eye for combining graphic tees with other things. I really like that mushroom one, but I need to stop buying graphic tees!!

Great looks! I don’t really have any graphic tees but I always think they’re cute. I need to think of something to style for the next Thrifty Six challenge though because the theme is Traffic Stopping Graphics!
