Inspired by Marsha in the Middle: Stripes, Denim and Liquid Leather
I love my blog posts where I replicate an outfit inspired by one of my blogger friends! And today, I am sharing an outfit inspired by Marsha from Marsha in the Middle! In her post, she paired her gaucho pants (Clara Sunwoo, here) with a denim jacket, scarf and striped top! Since I had liquid leather pants too (Clara Sunwoo, here), and similar pieces in my closet, it was just the inspiration I need for a spring outfit!
I always find it funny how my sons and I will take quick blog pictures! I have learned what poses work for me, and as long as I don’t make a strange face, we take about 5 minutes for a blog post especially if it is around our house.
Taking pictures around the house usually makes me realize that I should spend some time weeding! And it wouldn’t hurt for us to pressure wash our porches. I wonder if they are light colored under the orange residue. I also need to stain these chairs and spray paint the ones on the back porch: I guess I have a few spring project to take on!
All of my denim jackets are several years old. Having them in different styles and colors allows me to alternate them depending the look I am looking for. I do not worry if they are the style that is on trend, but choose them on how they look with what I am wearing.
Oh no, I see more weeds! I am pretty sure everything I am wearing here has been on the blog before. I do not wear my scarves much anymore, but this sunny yellow one is one I still really like.
A bientôt!

That’s a cool look, and I love Marsha! A denim jacket is also always in my closet. Can’t do without in spring and summer! Have a great weekend.

Oh yes: denim jackets for the win!

I really like this look, it is casual but dressy too! Your humor is great about what you noticed while doing this photo shoot, I live in the Northwest and dealing with all the polen….everything is either yellow or green!
I also appreciate how you use what is in your closet and what will go with the the outfit you are putting together.
I enjoy your blog, thank you for the time and thought you take to put it together!

Thanks, Debra! I do enjoy shopping but I find it quite fun to take some breaks and come up with new combos from my closet.

You look fabulous! I find that Evan and I can usually snap photos pretty quickly too; as long as he’s not snapping away when I am talking or moving.

Such a great spin on Marsha’s look. The striped T + denim jacket + print scarf is just a wonderful classic combo.

It sure is a classic combo and works every time!

Thank you for the huge compliment! I’m truly touched! I think you look fabulous in the liquid leather pants. Those are a little too slim fitting for me, but you look amazing in them! If we’re shooting on the front porch which seems to be the only place where the lighting is good, it takes us about 5 minutes, too. If we’re out and about, it takes however long it takes. Mike is the one who usually scouts out places for the photos though he sometimes forgets about the lighting aspect!
I hope you’re having the time of your life at Jodie’s!

I had thought about choosing the gaucho ones but I probably wouldn’t wear them as much.
