Another Thrift Haul: Making Smart Choices

I recently shared my finds from thrifting with Jodie in Arizona. Now as you may have noticed, I use the term haul loosely: in my case, I typically do not come home from the thrift store with a car full of things. I usually probably find 5 or so items and if I have been to several stores, maybe closer to 10 items. A week after the trip to Arizona, I decided to stop by Revive in Woodstock and check out their selection. To my happy surprise, they had a great spring selection of skirts, dresses and tops. I was looking for spring colors and hoping to find some prints.

Perfect printed top in some of my favorite colors: teal/turquoise and coral. This is a nice quality top, the material is soft and thick enough to let me know it is not cheap junk. I cannot wait to take this on vacation with me.

This skirt is packed in my suitcase too! I love the uneven hem, how comfortable it is (almost like a scuba material) and the little print mix with the polka dot tie. I wore this for a dinner out with my running friends.

The color of this dress caught my eye: I usually don’t wear a loose dress like this, but it is going to be perfect for warm summer days. It is probably an Amazon brand, but for a thrifted find of around $5, I am pleased. I really try to think about what I am buying and how I will style it.

The pink pants were hard to photograph as they are a little baggy and big on me, but that was one of the things I liked about them. They are a size too big, but I thought they would be really fun to wear on weekends!

A fun striped and floral top: I thought this would be a fun departure of my classic stripes. There are sparkles too on the flowers!

I decided to add one more item I bought the following week as it was just before I decided it was time for a shop your closet month (or two). The skirt was a $3 find at my local Goodwill. Since I cannot try things there, I only leave with something I am absolutely sure of. I thought this would be perfect as I have only one skort and this one is going to be fun to wear!
