Patriotic Looks to Be Inspired By

Even though, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day have gone by, I thought I would share some inspiration for patriotic looks that you can wear any day of the year or bookmark to be inspired by for some outfits next summer. I love wearing patriotic colors without actually wearing a flag (I used to wear an Old Navy patriotic tee each year in the past) and be more subtle in dressing for holidays. Each of these were worn the week of the 4th of July.

Embroidered Top and Bermuda Shorts

I thrifted this Caite and Kyla top on Poshmark a few years ago and I wear it a few times every summer. I think it’s the first time I paired it with these shorts and I really like it. I like adding the 3rd patriotic color as an accent with accessories or shoes therefore the blue earrings.

Cargo skirt and Blue Top

Again a thrifted piece in the white skirt: I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s great for summer time. A little longer than shorts, it’s comfortable in the car! Just a little red with my fair trade bracelet.

Elevated tank and Denim

What, another thrifted piece? This is probably one of my older ones: the tank has a great flow to it and I have worn it a few times before for the 4th. The earrings are really cool and made by someone local who thrifts fabrics and such to make earrings.

Target Dress

I’ve thought of donating this dress several times over the last couple of years, but each time I wear it, I receive compliments. White earrings and discreet blue flip flops complete the look.

Flowy Pants and Stripes

A tried and trued combo, I added a necklace for a little fun. I wore this the day after the 4th as it was really hot and humid and I had errands to run.

Hand Me Down

A friend gave me this top: I wore it with cropped denim the first time and decided that white shorts would be fun and simple for this go around!
