How to Transition Summer to Fall with the Ageless Style Link Up

How can you transition your outfit from summer to fall without just adding the usual denim or moto jacket? I thought I would show you how to put together a fall outfit using both summer and fall pieces. The fun thing about this outfit is that the key pieces are thrifted: the jeans, the top and the clutch were all thrift finds. Be sure to check all of the Ageless Style ladies outfits too for more inspiration!

If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen these jeans a few times since I bought them in April in Arizona. I usually do not try jeans in thrift stores because the racks usually feel overwhelming to me, but these just jumped out at me. I tried them over the leggings I was wearing and lo and behold they fit perfectly. I love the boho embroidered detail on them. The brown tones in the embroidery definitely spell fall to me.

Next came this top which I thrifted in Chattanooga this summer. There is something so fun about thrifting with friends. Apart from getting their opinion, it also usually means thrifting in a new spot. Even though this top is cropped, and I don’t wear my cropped tops very often, I just couldn’t pass it up! Those crochet sleeves are so fun! They also keep this top cool enough to wear on a normal fall day. More than likely, I’ll wear it with higher waisted pants most of the time, but I thought they were a great combo with my jeans.

You can hold on to summer with your choice of shoe: I wear sandals till the end of October usually starting to wear more sneakers then before switching over to my booties. Another way to showcase that summer is not gone all of the way is with a fun purse would it be a tote or a clutch.

Wouldn’t a turquoise purse look pretty with this top? I tend to wear my neutral purses the most, but turquoise being a favorite of mine, I should keep that in mind, especially if I can find one with a fun texture.

I am so glad that I have a very varied collection of necklaces and earrings. While I do not have a ton of necklaces, I have been adding some here and there like this beaded double strand necklace. The pendant was a hand me down from my aunt and I really love the texture of the wood with the rose.

I hope I gave you a different way as to how you can transition your outfits between summer and fall. Another way for me is to wear a light sweatshirt with shorts or to wear lightweight clothes, but in a fall color.
