Color Trend 2025: Pops of Pistachio
Knowing that my oldest was going to spend spring break at home and that he would be low on spending money, I decided to take as many blog post pictures as possible during that week. I found inspiration by searching spring trend for 2025 and came up with real outfits from my closet and earmarked the ones that appealed to me.
My first memory of pistachio is eating and disliking pistachio ice cream in France. I remember visiting some friends who had a boy about my age and me eating a pistachio ice cream that I didn’t like so I could continue talking to him. I was probably 10 or 12.
Nowadays, I still stay away from pistachio ice cream but I do like pistachios! As far as the color goes, I think it is a pretty shade of green and I thought of this top as soon as I saw it as a color trend. I bought it at Cato’s a spring or two ago. I actually don’t wear it much: the sleeves are cute, but maybe too much for my taste.
Early mornings in spring sometimes call for a layer and we have had a lot of windy days this spring. My thrifted cardigan was a great topper with the neon yellow/green mirroring the color of my top. I didn’t want to wear sandals nor sneakers, so I settled for my snakeskin booties.
It’s hard to time pictures with the flowers blooming. I always am surprised when I time it right. It usually is still somewhat cold and by the time I wanted to take spring outfit pictures, they have all but disappeared. I was glad to catch this tree!
I feel like this would be a great teacher outfit and switching the cardigan for a more structured topper would make it office appropriate. These pants were a hand me down from a friend who is now an assistant principal, and used to work in the classroom and school setting.
Do you have any trending colors in your closet?
A bientôt!

What a pretty outfit! I love pistachio in just about anything but ice cream. While I enjoy the nut I think my favorite is pistachio muffins. That is a really pretty color for spring but I’m not sure I have anything in a shade like that.

I haven’t had anything but real pistachio nuts since then, lol!

I love the colour, I have a skirt in that shade. I do like pistachios but the ice cream is a bit…bleh. let’s stick with wearing it!

for sure, Nancy! Who wants green ice cream anyways!

My mom loved pistachio ice cream! The color did not appeal to me at all! But, as clothing…that’s different! I really like this with the cardigan over it, too! Those flowers never hang around long. We have the flowers but also wind and rain so no photo ops!

Thanks, Marsha! Yes, green ice cream is weird!

So funny that you kept eating it just to talk to the boy… The things we do for these guys, LOL.
I love that shirt and the sleeves make it less basic and fun.
Yet you covered them up easily for the times you don’t want to show them off.
Xoxo

Thanks, Jodie! For some reason, I really don’t wear this top much… still trying to figure out why.

It’s very springy!

I have a few things this shade or similar. It’s a great color for spring and summer because it reminds me of all the new plant growth. I think I’m glad it doesn’t remind me of pistacho ice cream! Haha! I’m the same as you, not a fan of the ice cream, but love the nut! It’s a great color on you!

Thanks, Laura! It interesting how many people like pistachios but not the ice cream!

I remember that great topper from another post. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Great job pairing it with that darling pistacio top. The things we do for ‘love’, huh? Even eating ice cream we don’t like. Cute story!!

I love that it is so colorful. I see a lot of these cardigans with subdued colors but not brights like this one.

This was a cute outfit but man, adding that colorful topper really made it next level. I like that the colors there remind me of watermelon!
mimifce
Oh, yes, I does kind of make you think of a watermelon!
Jill
I love anything pistachio, including ice cream! Your top is darling and I love the vibrant colors in your cardigan! Such a cute look!

Thanks, Jill! I think my favorite way to wear it is with white but I enjoyed trying a new combo.
