Petal Pink Shopped from my Closet
When I was brainstorming ideas for blog posts for the month of April, I googled spring trends and earmarked the ideas that fit my style and my closet. I didn’t want to buy anything new, but wanted to see what I had that would work: one of the colors that was trending was pistachio and I shared my outfits with Pops of Pistachio last week. Another color was Petal Pink so today, I am sharing a petal pink outfit and I really love what I came up with.
I wore this on a busy day: errands, some chores, a dentist appointment, a windshield repair (just a chip) and some cooking. This was a very comfortable, but very pretty look.
Because the top is dressier and I was wearing this to run around town, I chose a pair of cropped raw edge denim to wear with it, as well as my Puma sneakers that were a perfect match for the blouse. I kept my jewelry simple with a pair of light pink earrings and 2 bead bracelets. The necklace is a souvenir from the Republic of Georgia.
My little clutch is actually a little pouch that my best friend sent me from France a few years ago. The trim once again is the perfect color match!
Would I have put together this outfit if it weren’t for the inspiration to wear this light shade of pink for a blog post? I am not sure. While I wear all of these pieces frequently, I had never put them together into one outfit. I love that writing my blog inspires me to get creative and play in my closet. My daily outfits are so much more fun!
My little Google search inspired 4 different outfits and blog posts for April and May. Sometimes I turn to Pinterest or my blogging friends for inspiration. It doesn’t matter where you get the inspiration, what matters is that you think outside of your regular outfits every so often, come up with something fun to wear and feel great about it!
A bientôt!

The light pink + white is such a pretty fresh spring combination. I like how styled the top to dress it down to fit your activities of the day.

It’s very fresh for sure. Will have to do it again with another white piece in my closet.

What a beautiful colour combination! I’m in love with soft pink at the moment, and yes, I bought pink sneakers! Great trousers too.

I always love when I do that! I paired a super old thrifted tunic today with the same jeans for our Ageless link up. Same thing, never had paired them together!
