Summer Fun Color Combo

One of my IG followers who I communicate almost on the daily (she always has positive feedback and send me fun links/accounts) shared a post from the @thehouseof.social who had some mood boards featuring some fun color combos to try with clothes. I thought it would be a perfect way to have fun getting dressed one week at the end of June and I shopped my closet for my outfits. It was a fun, easy exercise and I love how these outfits turned out.

Red, Light Blue and Navy

While I sometimes repeat outfits, I most often try to mix up my outfits and create new combinations with what is hanging in my closet. So having a color mood board to inspire me was really fun.

Since this was a really hot day, wearing light cotton fabrics was a must and since both pieces were flowy, I felt pretty comfortable all day. Both the top and pants are second hand. I wore navy leather earrings and sandals to add that 3rd color.

Purple and Lime

I have a lime green blouse that is more fitted that I could have used for my combo, but I don’t like it as much as this shirt. I think it is a bit frilly and the material is not cotton like this one, so it might be hotter for summer. I actually didn’t try it with this until I chose to photograph and wear it. So that gives me another combo to try soon!

Pink and Orange

I’ve worn pink and orange for summer before (orange shorts, pink blouse), so this was not a new color combination for me. However, I wanted to put together a new outfit, so here it is.

I probably have worn the 2 main pieces together before, but this time I added my pink ball earrings and made sure to add a couple bracelets in the same color scheme. I forget how comfortable these sandals are: that block heel is very sturdy and supportive.

Yellow, Cream and light Blue

This is such a fun color combo and I have worn it a few times before with other pieces: I actually had written a blog post/photographed an outfit a couple weeks before coming across this IG post. So it was fun to find some more pieces in my closet to pair in this color combo. I wore this to visit student apartments in Atlanta for my son. That was one long afternoon!

A bientôt!
