Styling Skinny Jeans with the Ageless Style Link Up
Jodie chose the prompt skinny jeans this month! While I now wearing a much wider variety of jean styles than I used to, I still really enjoy styling my skinny jeans. I like them with knee high boots and to show off shoes as I did in today’s outfit! I can see this look for a semi casual holiday gathering where you will be indoors. I am starting this post with the shoe because I really love this picture and these pretty heels from Target have a sentimental value for me since I wore them at my brother’s wedding and I felt really special in them.
I do not wear heels much but even though these are high, they are pretty comfortable. I love how feminine they make me feel.
When I saw that all of the hay had finally been cut and rolled into bales at the Indian Mounds, I knew I wanted to take blog pictures there. So even though this was a mild day, I thought ahead to which outfits needed to be shot for December and decide to come up with a festive look with my jeans.
It was a windy day so I needed to wear a hat or my hair would have been wild. This old Target one fits my head best so I reach for it more often than my other two. I have a grey hat which I do like too and a black one that I need to figure out how to make fit my head better (it’s too large).
I just realized that my sweater, hat, shoes and purse are all from Target! My jeans are my Wit and Wisdom jeans that I have had few years. I wore my last pair out and had to replace them. Now that I rotate all of my jeans, they are all lasting much longer.
To smile or not to smile? It is fun to try to come up with different poses for pictures. My Goddaugther’s wedding is coming up in February. I am trying to decide whether I want a pair of closed heels or whether I will wear these. I really don’t have much occasion to wear fancy shoes so these nude sandals might be a good option with the dress I will wear.
I don’t know that I have a favorite style of jeans right now. I like to have fun pairing different ones with different shoes and tops and trying to be creative. I do like my wide leg ones quite a lot. I shared my new to me pair in Wednesday’s post.

Wow! These shoes are another great Target find, and they look fantastic with your skinny jeans. Speaking of skinny jeans, mine are not going anywhere. As for the trend of different cuts in jeans, I enjoy wearing them all. Because don’t we all love a bit of variety in life!🤣
mimifce
We sure need that variety! Makes getting dressed interesting.

Those heels are fabulous and will go with so many things! They’re so perfect with your skinny jeans. Love this chic holiday look!

With the height, I only wear them for a couple of hours at a time but I do love them.
Laurie
They are gorgeous sandals. Can’t go wrong with nude xx
mimifce
Yes, they really work with everything.

Love the heels and I adore that opening picture! This is such a great place to take photos and different than usual spots one might choose. I am a big fan of your red sweater as well, the perfect holiday piece for sure. As for the wedding, I definetly think open toe heels are always a good choice, even in winter. Enjoy your upcoming weekend!

I am looking forward to all of the fun outfits I plan to wear the next few weeks. Now that I have found a nice white faux fur shrug for the wedding, I am sure the sandals will be perfect!

Love your dressy casual holiday outfit! The red sweater and little snakeprint bag are perfect to elevate the look. And the high heel sandals with skinnies great together. Beautiful field in the background, too. Takes me back to warmer weather. Enjoy you weekend and thanks from the link up!

I really do wish I had a fun pair of heels for dressy outfits but these work out nice. It was actually cold on that day despite that beautiful sky.

I love that you are open to all the different jean styles Mireille. That’s the way we stay modern and fun!!
And those sandals look fabulous with those jeans…definitely sexy!!
As for the hat that is too big, I have 2 words: HAT TAPE: https://bit.ly/3FzRZvq

Oh, hat tape: going to check that out. This hat fits perfectly but my other two don’t. Super fun with clothes lately: just found a blue velvet bodysuit on clearance at Old Navy, thought of you once again!
Sally in St Paul
Great sandal photo! And I could definitely see wearing them to the next wedding. The skinny jeans are a nice silhouette to wear with an oversized sweater like this one.

I’ll be sharing that wedding outfit in a couple of weeks. I found the cutest little faux fur shrug to add to my dress.
Joanne
Not only do I love this outfit but I LOVE your background too! It looks like you had so much fun with this photo shoot.

It was really fun and I am so glad I wore a hat otherwise I would have looked crazy!
Marsha+Banks
I love that first photo…way to capture my attention! And, I adored your reel on Instagram pushing that bale! I’ll bet it was really heavy! You look fabulous in these jeans and I love how you’ve styled them!

Fun! We enjoy being creative when we can. The bale didn’t move much and I didn’t realize how messy my sweater got till after the pictures and video!
Jacqui Berry
I love this whole outfit, sandals with jeans is just super looking. Thanks for hosting the linkup too. Hope you’ll join mine, I’m a day late! Jacqui x

Thanks, Jacqui: those heeled sandals are pretty cute.

At least 3 of you gals mentioned how the skinny jeans work well to show off your shoes. I never really thought about that but you are so right. And these great jeans do a wonderful job of showcasing your cute shoes. Your photo shoots always have the best backdrops…love this and the cotton field especially. I think your sandals would be perfect for the upcoming wedding.

I try to take pictures away from home when I can because sometimes I don’t have any choice so we get some variety when we can.
Shelbee on the Edge
Mireille, this is such a cute and cozy fesive outfit! I love the combination of an oversized sweater with skinny jeans and I also love the combination of jeans and heels! That first shoe photo is so fun! Actually, all of these phots are super fun. And that hat is just adorable! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Thanks, Shelbee! I don’t do jeans and heels often enough but my legs don’t usually like heels for very long. Always fun when my son and I come up with some creative pictures. Have a wonderful Christmas!
