Casual Spring Outfit

Today, I am sharing another outfit I wore on our spring break trip to Nashville. I packed casual comfortable clothes and really enjoyed what I wore. My closet is a pretty good mix of thrifted and retail clothes and this outfit is a perfect example of that.

Both my jeans and my sneakers were purchases inspired by blogging friends: I bought the Gap slim cropped pants after Kelly Ann from This Blonde Shopping Bag shared them last year and the sneakers are a pair very similar to Bo’s from Bo’s Bodacious Blog. More often than not, I replicate outfits with similar items found in my closet, but every so often, I see something that I would like to add to my closet. These were 2 great purchases that I have worn over and over!

My Simply Southern sweatshirt was thrifted NWT for around $5 and I have worn it many times. It is soft and a great length and I love that pale blue color.

See all these cool photo ops? Again I took pictures of the boys too, but did ask for them to take some blog pictures for me. We took these in Franklin in a shopping area housed in an old furniture factory: it now houses trendy shops and restaurants. We love our lunch at the White Alligator.

We also went visited a couple antique shops and walked to a nearby park where we found this mural. There is a site of an old Fort (fort Granger) but nothing is left from the fort. There are some signs describing what used to be there, and my boys had fun having a pretend battle. It was a walk up a hill from the park and was very pretty as it was very green and lush.

A bientôt!

Yes, we actually read the whole explanation of the parts of the sculpture (I think I posted it on Wed).

Sometimes I ask my oldest daughter to take video of me if I have a collaboration. I should ask her for photos as well. $1 a photo or an outfit seems pretty reasonable, especially in addition to her allowance. That sweatshirt was a great deal! I love the length of it!

It really is a nice one. I do love the length and color of it. The boys really like taking the blog pics because it’s an easy $5 per post!

They are so comfortable and I love that black and white! And they are leather or something similar so easy to wipe down.

Nashville is on my bucket list to visit! We have driven through it many times, but never stopped. Those Southern Comfort sweatshirts/tees are just the best! I have one and so does my daughter. That mural and the history behind it is really cool/interesting.

Very cool! We should have a little blogger meet up in Nashville! Marsha was mentioning wanting to come down and meet up there.

Very cool, Madison! Do you have a favorite spot in Nashville you enjoy? Yes, those trainers are pretty fun! The soft pink is fun.

Great look channeling some of the pieces our blogger friends have shared. Really like the jeans. And that soft blue sweatshirt looks so snuggly. I’m looking at buying a sweatshirt for our trip to Colorado. Wish I could find a vintage or thrifted one. But I would like to get one for my sister and sister-in-law too and that would be too good to be true!

I haven’t thought too hard about what I am packing for NY. I think I will wait to see what the weather is supposed to look like once it gets closer. Comfort and cute is what I am hoping to do.
