Tropical Prints for the Ageless Style Link Up
It’s time for a new Ageless Style Link Up and I chose the theme of tropical prints because it’s a perfect summer print and I knew I could shop my closet. Tropical prints are often bright, but you can also find some more subdued colors if that is more your style. Since I am on a bright color kick right now, I chose two of my bright pieces. I chose to style two new outfits with items I had, and I am sharing a collection of other tropical print outfits below for more inspiration. I love the happy color and vibes these outfits give!
Flowy Top in Orange Tones

Summer time! This fun tropical top just screams summer time and beach vacation even when at home. I replaced my old pair of white shorts which were too short and wide at the leg opening with this pair of 5″ inseam pair from Old Navy: it’s a much better fit!

I chose gold and red to accessorize. This thrifted pair of sandals is simple and comfortable. I’ve been adding colorful bead bracelets to my collection when at Antique shops and little booths and boutiques.

Green Tropical Maxi

I love this skirt because it can also be worn as a dress as you can see in the collages below. It is definitely very long as a skirt and I have to be careful not to trip on the hem when I am walking.

Since I typically pair the skirt with white, I decided to wear my black bodysuit with it. It was also the last time I wore these yellow sandals. I glue them back together last summer and they started getting unglued again. They had a long life so now I will be on the lookout for a yellow pair when I am thrifting.

I have been really having fun wearing my bead bracelets this spring and summer. I usually try to find 2 to 3 colors in my collection that match my outfit. Slowly, but surely, I am adding some colors as I travel.
More Tropical Inspiration

It was fun to remember these outfits which I would still wear now. You can tell that time has gone by a little! Love the bright bold prints!

You really do have so many tropical prints! My favorite is the skirt that is actually a dress. It is just gorgeous!

It’s like a circle skirt: really full and I should twirl in it one day, lol!

I’m so glad you picked this! I was a little worried I didn’t have anything and discovered I had a lot when I looked more closely!

Yay!! I have that same yellow/orange top. I think I bought mine when I saw yours!! Love the 5″ length shorts on you. That is my favorite length but this year I am moving to 7″…the closer I get to 70 years old.
Absolutely adore the skirt/dress. You wear black so well but you are gorgeous in living color!! So the outfit with the black top near your pretty face and the bright skirt/dress is my favorite. The best of both worlds. I have never liked to wear black until my hair started going gray. Now I kind of like it on me.
I want want want one of the tropical dresses I saw at Versona. But I never grab my dresses to wear anymore. I need to make a pact that I will start wearing dresses at least once a week. (We need to get back into church, too) And then I can justify buying my dress. Maybe that can be a summer bucket list item or goal.

There you go! We go to church Saturday night and Sunday morning, so that does give me weekly excuse to wear my dresses and skirts. You will love this one outfit I am wearing on Sunday (which will be on the blog too): it’s my black vest/dress over my tulle overlay and black biker shorts. A very fun look and surprisingly, yes the black does work well next to my face: like you said, it might have to do with the color of my hair.

Although the blue/green tones are my jam, I’m actually loving the orange tropical print top with the white shorts! Tropical print + white is just summer magic.

Yes! That is a pretty combo isn’t it?

All of these vibrant outfits are super cute! My favorite is the second with the gorgeous maxi skirt!

That long flowing skirt is really pretty! I like it a lot contrasting with the black top.

Oooh, that tropical skirt just might be my favorite! It’s so bright and fun, and the maxi gives it the perfect amount of volume!
