The Enchanted Trees Exhibit at Atlanta Botanical Gardens
One of the things I enjoy about botanical gardens is that they often have a couple of different exhibits each year, which makes your visit more interesting. While seasonal plants and flowers do catch my eye, some of the different exhibits that come to the botanical gardens can be really impressive. One year, they had these giant trolls (read post here), another year, it was giant origami sculptures (read here). This year, in addition to the Alice and Wonderland exhibit which I will share next week, there was a display of 11 “Enchanted Trees”.
The trees range for 9 feet to 17 feet tall and on a sunny day reflect the sun and create beautiful sculptures. You can can really close to most of them. The artwork is by Poetic Kinetics and is the 3rd display to come to Atlanta. The creator of Poetic Kinetics is Patrick Shearn, a known artist for his large art installations.

I wish I had taken a picture of all of the trees with their title because I couldn’t figure out the names from the guide since I do not remember where we saw these exactly in the gardens!
I particularly liked the Spiral Blossom Tree and the Sweet Gum tree! I love the creativity of that one!

While we skipped a few of the trees (it was really hot and I wanted to make sure we made it back home with time to spare before school pickup), we really enjoyed seeing all of these.
This display will be at the Botanical Gardens till January 11, 2026 and I want to give a shout-out to Kathrine from Kathrine Eldridge blog for being the catalyst to finally make plans to to before the Alice in Wonderland exhibit leaves mid-September as she took pictures there when she visited a few weeks before me!
A bientôt!

So glad you decided to visit again! You pics remind me of my trip and make me miss my son a little bit. My mom and I are planning to come to Atlanta to see his concert in November and I think I need to take her here.

Oh, I wonder! I don’t think so, just because they are of a plastic type material but I wonder if it was windy…
