Spring Overalls Outfits
After I thrifted a pair of overalls last summer, I wasn’t super happy with them: I really had been wanting a light pair of wide leg overalls, but I just had not come across a pair while thrifting. So while I wore that pair a couple of times, they were not something I reached for. So even before donating them this winter, since July, I have been stalking the Old Navy site for a restock or for their new version of light denim overalls hoping they would have a sale. They never did have a sale, however, I ended up with a $20 off coupon to use the first week of March. I hesitated between the sizes 6 and 8 in regular and opted for the 6 and voila: I have a pair of overalls I love. Here are some ways I have worn them this month!
With a black bodysuit and scarf

I wore this to get my haircut, the day after I received them. Simple and fun! I love how comfortable they are and baggy in the leg without being too oversized. I added a scarf for a little color and interest.
With a colorful ruffle top

Wore this that same week after my half marathon. I really like adding a fun blouse under the overalls: it really adds a little fun and interest and makes it less of a basic outfit.
With a graphic tee and scarf

I have been wearing these at least once a week! Cost per wear is going down quickly! One of the easiest way to wear a pair of overalls is to wear a graphic tee or a tank under. Since it is not warm enough most days for a tank top, I wore them with a colorful graphic tee. I wanted to show another way to style a scarf so I added it in between the buttons on the side.
With a Statement Top

I usually wear this top with a dress as it is pretty cropped, but it worked pretty well with the overalls. I have always like overalls with statement tops: it really creates a fun elevated look.

These are all so cute! I love overalls but haven’t owned a pair since my boys were born.

I will say, finding the right pair that I liked made all the difference. They are all not created equal.

It’s looks fun and girlie! I don’t remember ever wearing overalls. You don’t see them that often. But it looks very lovely.

Yes, you would think they would be kind of masculine with the wide leg and loose fit, but adding some pretty things does make them girlie.

Nice!! I always wanted an overall when I was a teenager, but I’m too big chested, they just don’t look good on me. Once my mother convinced me to take a jumpsuit instead which I absolutely hated.

I don’t think I ever had overalls growing up, but that’s probably because my parents didn’t let me wear pants, just skirts and dresses.

I need to see if I still have my overalls. Every spring I think I will wear them then I feel silly because I am almost 70 and worry that I am trying to dress too young. But they are so much fun!! Love yours with all the tops but especially the embellished blouse in the last outfit. That is YOU!!
