Spring Skirt Outfits 2026

Every year, when I start switching out my wardrobe for spring and summer, I greet my summer skirts like long lost friends. Some do hang in my closet all year, however I like to put some away because they feel like new when I pull them out. And each year, I find new ways to wear them. Of course most of these get worn with tank tops a lot during the summer and I do repeat some outfits. But I am always surprised when I put together a new combination!

Maxi in Purple

One example is this outfit: have I never paired these 2 together? I don’t think so, but it was a perfect match and a stylish outfit for a laid back Saturday. I added a little bling with a beaded belt, a bracelet stacks and my dangly earrings. Both the top and skirts were thrifted.

Thrifted Maxi

Just like the first maxi, I thrifted this one some years ago. I wore it with  this square neck top from Old Navy for another church day. While I like having different tops to pair with my skirts, I really kind of miss having a plain white tee that I like, so I picked one up at Walmart when I was shopping with my mom. Sometimes it is nice to have something really simple to wear with a skirt.

Modcloth Yellow Floral

If you want a lot of inspiration for a bright floral, do a search on my blog with the above title and you will see all of the ways I wore this skirt. I bought it quite a few years ago and have worn it with different colors as well as with stripes (my favorite!). It’s always a favorite and gets lots of compliments and is the perfect twirling skirt!

Bold Tropical Skirt

Just like the skirt above, I have shared this skirt on the blog many times before even wearing it as a dress. I tried to dress it down a little with my denim blouse.

Sari Skirt

I’ve had this sari  wrap skirt for a couple of years and I love how versatile it is: it is reversible and can also be worn as a dress in a variety of ways. I wore this to church thane fiipped around the skirt to the grey/black side and changed to a black blazer to go to a funeral that afternoon. We had a bought of chilly days this past week so layers were helpful.

I stopped by TJmaxx for hand soap and shower soap (that’s where I like to buy ours) and couln’t resist this shirt that someone had left by the shoes (and I didn’t resist a pair of slip on sandals either). I wore this for Orthodox Easter (not the night service but our afternoon one) after being inspired to wear my white skirt by a friend. I will be wearing this skirt a lot again this year. I love it and so glad I found it last year.
