Caite and Kyla Embroidered Shirt 4 Ways
I bought a thrifted shirt some years ago that I loved wearing and even brought to France on our trip in 2019. When I came across this cute Caite and Kyla top on Poshmark at the beginning of February, I added it to my closet. It reminds me of that other top. As per usual, I wanted to wear it different ways to show its versatility so today I am sharing 4 ways it can be worn. I have a few other ideas in mind which include pairing with shorts and over a dress too with a belt!
With a Black Pencil Skirt
Front tucked in with a black strechy skirt, this was a very comfortable outfit for church. The embroidery is more red than orange but I thought it paired well with my orange espadrilles.
Copycat Look from France
I love this picture of me in the South of France. Oh, we had such a grand time!
Do you see why this new blouse reminded me of my old one? The old one was very faded after 2 years of me wearing it (it wasn’t very bright to start with) but I really loved it. I copied the look with the same shoes and bag.
I had to share two more pictures! If you haven’t read my posts from that trip to Spain and France here are a few links to them:
- What I wore in France and Spain
- Last Adventure in France: Fontainebleau
- Catalunya, Spain
- Catalunya, Spain (part 2)
- A Day in Paris
Linking these really made me miss our international trips! But I am very thankful for all of the other trips we have taken in the past 3 years and the pretty spots in the US we have discovered.
With Cropped White XCVI Pants
Funny story about these pants: I bought them on Poshmark before I started my no spend on Feb 25 and chanced that they would fit me… Well, I can button them but not zip them. So the tags are still on because I am not sure yet whether I may fit it them by the end of lent. I have been trying to loose a few pounds I put on recently and following our church fasting calendar combined with some intermittent fasting has helped. However I need to do some exercises that focus on my lower abs to help a little more! We shall see, so I may have to resell them. It is also interesting to see how they are not the same white as the blouse which I didn’t notice till I looked at these pictures. I added some pearl accessories and thought the snakeskin booties were fun with the outfit. The first picture really shows the shape of the pants the best.
With Camo Pants and Cardigan
I wore this look last week and thought it was a fun one: comfy and a nice contrast between the green camo and red in the shirt. It’s also a different silhouette with the joggers. It was cool in the morning so this burgundy cardigan came in handy. This thing is so old… it even has a couple small holes on the back but you cannot tell so it still serves a purpose in my closet. Here I wore for a comfy Thanksgiving outfit a few years ago. My last few posts have been all about wearing and shopping my closet and I am here for it!
A bientôt!

Next time I will use my camo skinnies since I felt like it needed something more fitted.

I can see why this top reminds you so much of your old one. I still find that the photo of you with your delicious pastry is one of my favorites. You sure were having a great time! These are all such great looks.

At first I thought it WAS the same top from your previous photos, but it’s a perfect replacement really.
Of course I love them all, but the camo pairing is truly my favorite.
And I like that the “white” pants aren’t the same white as the shirt.
XOXO

I really do like it with the camo too and I will pair it with my camo skinnies next time to balance out the volume.

What a beautiful top, Mireille! I had to keep scrolling back and forth to see which one was the new one and which one was the old one! I think I like the camo look the best…maybe it’s the high contrast?
Love the photo of you in the South of France! You look so happy!

It’s a beautiful top. I love it worn by itself but it looks pretty with camo. A combination I would have not thought of. I also love that you enjoy shopping your closet. It’s fun to rediscover pieces we once love, isn’t it? I miss international travel too but hopefully soon we can all get back to it. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Such a beautiful embroidered shirt on you Mirielle! The red and white stiching and pattern remind me of a Ukrainian pattern and look we used to have on kitchen towel and linens for the table. Love it.
Each way you styled it looks great, esepcailly love the camo jeans with it.
