7 days of Dresses: 2nd Winter Edition
As spring nears, I become bored with wearing jeans and sweaters and get excited once again to wear dresses. Our weather in Georgia has mostly been mild this winter but I haven’t worn dresses that very often. So I decided to wear dresses for a week once again as I had in this post earlier this winter and here are the outfits I enjoyed wearing this go around. Once again, I am sharing some friends who joined in, of course including Jodie once again more as well as Cathie, Grace and Debi. Spring/Summer Dresses My favorite dresses are probably my maxi dresses. Both of these are thrifted and I really…

Prints for the March Sunday Showcase
Spring is in the air! I wanted to share some pretty prints that would give a nod to spring but would still be appropriate for the end of winter. While thrifting a week in February, I came across this Zara dress new with tags. I was attracted by the large blue print against the cream background and while I knew it would be too short to wear as a dress, I could envision it as a tunic or a jacket. I was correct: after trying it on, I found out it was a winner. The dress has buttons and a tie at the waist which really makes it versatile. My…

Winter Break Outfits: Sweatshirts and Jackets
It was fun to plan a comfortable but stylish winter break wardrobe! I packed a little more than what I wore but that gave me some options. I typically pack more when we drive versus when we fly. Of course, I looked at the forecast first and since we were planning to go snow tubing, I planned accordingly. These outfits feature sweatshirts and jackets! Sweatshirts A thrifted tunic length sweatshirt worked great for my traveling outfit. I drove the 5 1/2 hour drive so my husband could get some work done on the way to North Carolina. I did throw out these thrifted boots after the trip as they were…

Thrifted Outfit Head to Toe for less than $25
When I put this outfit together, I realized that it was thrifted head to toe. Who says you cannot dress on trend on a budget? After most of January shopping my closet, the temptation to shop with some gift cash was too strong and feeling a little moody the last week of that month, I went on some thrifting adventures. I did purge and sold a few pieces that I hadn’t worn in the last 2 years, so my closet reflects more who I am now. The 2 new thrifted pieces in this outfit are the pants and top. Both were found at the consignment store, Uptown Cheapskate, the top…

Tweed Mini Skirt Dressed Up
Once again, I didn’t realize how windy it was until my son and I arrived at the location for our photos. So my hair and earrings are a little wild in some of these pictures. I purchased this tweed mini in December on the clearance rack at Tjmaxx. I was attracted by the texture of the skirt and the two little buttons on the front pockets. December saw me finding many pieces with fun fabrics and texture. Since I do not have any tights (I need to remedy that at some point), I usually wear a pair of leggings under a short skirt if I want extra warmth and coverage.…

Shop my Closet: 13-26
I am sharing my shopping through my closet journey this month (see part 1 here) and have been fun creating unique to me outfits! I like the variety I have displayed here from the past 2 weeks! The nice thing about shopping my closet and constantly reevaluating what I have, is that what I do keep in my closet, I really like! This month, I have tried to include color and variety in most of my outfits as well as wearing some things I haven’t worn in a while. The outfit on the right is a prime example of that. I hadn’t worn those pants since October and the burgundy…

My Style in 5 Words
After reading KellyAnn’s (ThisBlondeShoppingBag) post about defining your style, I thought it would be fun to think about which 5 words came to my mind when I thought about my style. These are the first words that popped in my mind and I feel like they do define what I enjoy wearing and what is me! I used example of some of my favorite outfits of the past year to examplify what those words mean to me. And here is is the last post I wrote about my style is what in April 2020. Back then, I defined my signature style as being fun with a twist (still relevant), including…

Shop my Closet Outfits 1-12
My goal this month is to shop my closet as I have so much variety to choose from, it helps me be creative and it really helps my wallet. If I do purchase anything, it will be thrifted and spent from the cash I earned from selling a few things this month (I have made $50). Today, I am sharing my first 12 outfits of the month. You will see a lot of bright colors as I have been inspired by Jodie to use the hastag #brightcolorjanuary and come up with some colorful outfits to brighten my day. Dresses I don’t wear my berets very often, but I have been…

Winter Date Night Outfit
I took advantage of my son’s “sick” day a few weeks ago to take pictures of this outfit that I knew I would pack for an overnight date trip with my husband. After our trip to Costa Rica in October, I decided that I would try my hardest to plan regular fun dates/mini trips for us as we had such a great time on our anniversary trip. For this mini trip, I knew we would go out to dinner than maybe see the lights at the botanical gardens so I planned a nice warm coat to add over this outfit. I usually try to balance out my outfits where if…

12 Days of Wintry and Festive Outfits
I thought it would be fun to share some outfits that you could wear throughout December and January for family get togethers, parties and maybe even church depending on the outfit. These are all outfits I have worn in the past few weeks and I tried to add a festive touch with either accessories or colors. I also wanted to showcase a few friends since we all have different styles, so save/bookmark this post to look back at next year so you will be ready with lots of inspiration. Day 1 Party with a Velvet Bodysuit I found this pretty velvet bodysuit on clearance at Old Navy the day before…
