Clara Sun Woo: A Versatile Jumpsuit for Spring
Clara Sun Woo is a mother and daughter design team based out of New York. Their clothing collection is very comfortable and made of a soft stretch knit fabric that is easy to wear everyday and is exceptional for traveling (here is a timeline of their story). I was approached for an Instagram collaboration but really wanted to share this beautiful jumpsuit on my blog too as it is truly going to be something I will wear often this summer. The first thing that caught my eye when browsing was the halter style of the Grecian Halter Pocket Jumpsuit. I find halter tops very flattering and the back of this…

Prints for the March Sunday Showcase
Spring is in the air! I wanted to share some pretty prints that would give a nod to spring but would still be appropriate for the end of winter. While thrifting a week in February, I came across this Zara dress new with tags. I was attracted by the large blue print against the cream background and while I knew it would be too short to wear as a dress, I could envision it as a tunic or a jacket. I was correct: after trying it on, I found out it was a winner. The dress has buttons and a tie at the waist which really makes it versatile. My…

Halftee: Review of a Practical and Pretty Layering Solution
I’ve been intrigued by the Halftees some of my blogging friends have shared (in particular Jodie and KellyAnn). I linked their most recent posts, but you can get some spring/summer layering inspiration by searching their blogs with the keyword halftee. Today, I am sharing my Lace Long Sleeve Halftee (gifted) with my thoughts about this product. I reached out to KellyAnn to make sure I chose the appropriate size as I know I usually wear items in the same size. The size Medium fits me perfectly. The Halftee fits close to the body and fits under your bust so there is not riding up or down. The fabric is stretchy…

Button Down Sweater Dress 3 Ways
This year I am hoping to focus on sharing different ways to wear items new and old because we are more likely to be content with what we have when we realize how versatile our wardrobe can be. This would be a newer piece in my closet, I think I picked this Sweater Button Down Dress up the first week of December at Target and sadly it was not on sale. I justified paying full price for it because it is actually of great quality and can be worn so many ways. Today I am just sharing 3 different ways you could wear it, but I can also envision it…

Stripes and Layers
Stripes are here to stay and they sure add interest to outfits. Today, I am sharing ways to layer them in the cooler months. Of course, you can wear them on their own as in the first outfit but they are perfect with all kinds of toppers. I am not sure I have a favorite way. The two tops I wore in these outfits are old. One has 3/4 sleeves while the other is longer at the bottom and at the sleeves. I also have striped tops for summer too. Standalone I like this particular top because it is a little thicker than my cotton one. The button detail and…

Dress Up your Blazer with a Skirt
A few weeks ago, I shared a thrifted blazer my friend Jodie found for me with two types of denim in casual outfits in this post. Today, I am sharing another thrifted blazer that I found at Goodwill on the same day (as she had inspired me to look on my own!). This blazer is in a similar cut, fitted and cropped but in a nice purple color without a collar. I decided to dress up this blazer by creating two outfits with skirts and once again I wanted to incorporate some print mixing which I did in the second outfit. Blazer with Midi Skirt I typically shoot outfits at…

How to Style Your Blazer for a Casual Look
This year, I realized that despite all of my lightweight jackets (and I have quite a few), I didn’t have a single blazer. Jodie, one of the most creative bloggers I know, suggested to search for one while thrifting and inspired by her, I did find one that I will style next month. On her hand, she searched for one t0o and found this adorable polka dotted one. You should have seen us exchanging texts and pictures as I was running with running club. Not exactly conducive to texting and looking at pictures but that was when she was in store at Goodwill in Arizona! Today, we are both once…

Styling One Dress 6 Ways For Fall
It had been a while since I wrote one of these posts showing you how to wear one item several ways. I really had fun this go around with this thrifted Banana Republic dress! Styling this dress 6 ways for fall was a fun exercise! I wasn’t sure it would fit me when I tried it on but like Jodie says, when thrifted do not pay attention to size and just try it on! I am glad I did as I love the print and color and how versatile this dress will be pretty much year round. Short Blazer for Warmer Weather This is how I wore it to church…

What Shoes to Wear with a Denim Dress
About a month ago, Jodie (JtouchofStyle) and I entered a giveaway hosted by Kancan USA and we both won an item of our choice! We decided to choose the same item so we could both style it on our blogs! At Jodie’s suggestions we chose the Virginia Button Down denim dress. I didn’t own one and love the idea of wearing it as a dress and as a duster/layer since the buttons are functional. There are many ways to style this type of dress but today I am focusing on what of shoes to wear with your denim dress! I kept my accessories the same to keep the focus on…

Styling Silky Cargo Pants 3 ways
Anytime I add something to my closet, I hope for it to be versatile and be able to wear it several ways. It is always a little more difficult with certain items that might be considered more dressy or have a different texture such as silk, sequins or certain prints. So when I chose these silky cargo pants as part of my giveaway win from I’ll have what she is wearing, I knew I wanted to think about different ways to wear them (I couldn’t find the joggers on the website anymore so they are probably sold out but this can give you inspiration with your own joggers). I love…
