My Jambu shoes experience

This post is not a sponsored post and all the opinions are mine.

Why Jambu shoes?

Every time that we plan a trip abroad, my first concern is what shoes will I bring on the trip? Typically a trip abroad equals lots of walking for our family. That walking might be walking through cobbled streets, hiking up a mountain or dipping our toes in a lake, river or ocean. I always make a point to read  fellow bloggers’ posts about comfortable shoes. Both Jodie from Jtouchofstyle and Jess from Elegantlydressedandstyish posted about Jambu shoes within a month of each other. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a pair of shoe using one of their discounts to wear for our trip to Europe. The shoes boast memory foam and good traction which would be important for walking for hours.

Which pair did I choose?

I bought a pair of gray Jambu Wildflower mary janes. I cannot find them on their website but they have a simlar pair called Wildflower Encore or I found some on Amazon in a selection of 3 colors. I chose gray because I do not have gray sandals nor shoes (only 2 gray pairs of boots). Gray is versatile and I knew I could wear these shoes with any of the outfits I planned to wear. I was very tempted by the red pairs as well as the denim ones and I am sure one of those colors will be my next Jambu purchase. I chose this style because of the closed toe (less dusty if walking in sandy area), the comfort for walking on different types of terrain, and the versatility of the style which could be worn with pants or dresses.

Was I pleased with my purchase?

Yes! I did have to break the shoes in the first day I wore them all day in Girona and had 2 small blisters on my pinky toes. That might have been because I should have sized up half a size (I usually wear shoes size 6.5 or 7 and I bought them in size 6.5). I gave my foot a rest for one day and then wore them most days without any discomfort. I loved the style and comfort and also the ease to take them off and on.

I will probably treat myself to another pair before my next big trip but probably not before then: I need to save for that next big trip, lol!

A bientôt!
