September Outfits

Today, I am looking back at my outfits for the month of September. I see a lot of outfits that I really like so you may see some of these again in September with hopefully some extra layers if the weather cools off. I did not spend much of my money on clothes this month but had some birthday money and a gift card that I was able to use. I am now implementing a no shopping month for October as I have all kinds of new clothes to wear!

I wore this as part of my 4 ways to wear a utility vest post and to church on a cooler Sunday morning. I love how this black dress is a blank canvas for creating so many outfits. I wore it in France the day we visited Paris too.

This was another Sunday’s outfit. I took the picture in the cemetery. This skirt was a find this month during my $1 per item trip to the thrift store. I love the hem of this skirt!

Trying to add a belt to my outfits since I never do! These thrifted pants have been worn several times this Spring and Summer. Cool and breezy and happy colors!

Hiking with the family in style! I love my Nike Tanjun and they are still dusty from that hike, lol! I typically wear Daily Ritual tanks from Amazon when exercising. They have held up very well!

We had a few cooler days or mornings this September so I took advantage of being able to wear jeans without suffering too much from the heat. I love my August buy of this camo Nickel and Suede tee (no longer for sale). Pulled out my converse several times this month too!

Getting more wear out of my JCrew skirt! Loving the variety in my skirts now! That was one of my goals this summer, adding so different styles of skirts to my closet! This one has pockets and an elastic band.

Another of my outfits from my utility vest post that I wore. First time I wore my Caslon Ellie Wedge Sneakers (out of stock in most sizes now).

I had forgotten about this outfit! I really like the pop of color with the sandals and the earrings. This shirt was another of my $1 finds!

Afternoon of fun with the family. This thrifted cargo skirt has been in my closet forever and I wear it at least once a month (I tend to forget about it since I fold it with my shorts and do not hang it with my skirts).

Sage and purple! Love the richness in color of this top! I think this is a nice color combination for fall.

A really old shirt that has held up to the test of time! I love the pattern and the flow of the material. And with white pants a winning combination!

My birthday outfit wearing my favorite French shirt made in Italy! One of those pieces of clothing with great memories associated with it. This is my other pair of converse, a merlot/burgundy color.

One of my favorite outfits of the month with my new clothes from Target and my leopard accessories! Want to wear this again!

Did you all see the details on this tank on my Instagram feed? This was another find at Target spending my birthday money. Great for layering in the fall!

My try at athleisure. Thrifted tee combined with my new white skinnies and my Nike Tanjun sneakers. Sadly my black ones are about to hit the dust as I have a little hole where my big toe is!

I went through my closet looking for a top I had not worn for a while. Then I added my Loft sage pants to add some fallish color. I have  a love/hate relationship with this shirt but I like it ok in this picture. I do not really like ties in the front and would rather have them on the side.

Another laid back athleisure look with my 2 year old In and about Joggers from Nordstrom. I think I see my toe peeking out of my tennies! Knotted my olive top to give it more shape.

While I wear my Nickel and Suede leather earrings most of the time I do have other earrings! These were a gift from my hubby a few Christmases ago. I love this floral Modcloth skirt so much that I have a whole post dedicated to it. This was my Sunday outfit and I received several compliments. I had to show how well it twirled!

I showed off this plaid shirt for the #thriftedchicstylechallenge on Instagram. I love how it is different from my other plaid shirts with the hood, pockets and gathering in the back of the waist. The colors are nice and bright and I even had a pair of crocheted earrings to pair with it! Wearing a pair of old Caslon blush slip on sneakers with it. I enjoy wearing these in the fall and spring. It warmed up so quick that I only got to wear the shirt for a couple of hours and then at lunch I spilled ice cream on my white tee!

For the 2nd day of the #thriftedchicstylechallenge I wore this White House, Black Market skirt I found the same day as the plaid shirt for $1! Such a successful trip! Paired with Nickel and Suede cutout blush earrings (which are discontinued) and my blush sneakers once again! So comfortable but yet so put together!

I love these kind of posts because by documenting my outfits I can recreate the ones that I love and also because it helps me realize that I have quite a few clothes and some great finds! This Cato skirt was a great buy at Goodwill in the spring and another reminder to try clothes in a variety of size. My bottom half does not usually fit in XS but this skirt fits and is one of my 3 favorites (Modcloth #1, White House/Black Market #2 tied with this one).

I was inspired by Fonda at Savvy Southern Chic to wear my lavender blouse. I paired it with my leopard Nickel and Suede earrings and Old Navy sandals for a fun pattern pop!

A bientôt!
