Utility vest to transition into fall

One of my most used vest in the fall is my olive utility vest. It is a few years old and I was inspired by Putting me Together to purchase one after she reshared a post with multiple ways to wear it. Here are some now and later looks for last summer and early fall. You probably can copy these look with a blush, burgundy or other colored vest!

Denim shorts and striped shirt

A perfect look for the end of the summer! It is too hot here for jeans yet (apart from the occasionnal cooler day) so I will probably still wear my denim shorts well into September. Pair your favorite striped shirt and your utility vest and you can get a little taste of fall fashion.

I added my new Caslon Allie Sneakers that went back on sale and promptly sold out and I think you will see a lot of outfits with these this fall!

Jeans and white tee

Probably the simplest way to wear a utility vest and the way I wear it the most. Everyone has favorite pair of jeans and white tee. You could wear it with sandals, booties, sneakers, the shoe options are limitless! Life got busy and I didn’t get to photograph this look but I am sure you have seen it on someone’s blog or pinterest!

White pants and tank

This is a look that I sported this summer when I wanted to add a layer but it was too warm for a cardigan of course! I chose a flowy tank to pair with my white cropped pants and paired it with my mustard Modcloth purse that I will be wearing a lot more this fall. It would work with any colored tank.

Black t-shirt dress

I love working with a simple base like a plain t-shirt dress because you can create so many looks! I have worn this Old Navy dress so many ways and really need to update it since I thrifted it on Thredup and it is now showing some wear. But until I find one to replace it, I will continue to wear this one!

Surprisingly, I do not remember ever wearing it with my vest.

Here I am making sure I am not stepping in some poison ivy!
