1 year blogversary, part 2
One of my favorite part of blogging is sharing our trips and some of the tips that help make traveling with children easier. Some of our trips have been abroad but I also enjoy sharing our roadtrips and small vacations nearby. Of course, my top traveling post is one from our trip last summer to Spain and France. I had a hard time traveling which was my favorite as this was a really fun trip with many opportunities for beautiful pictures. Saving for traveling is one of my big priorities and while plane tickets were not affordable this year, I am not too disappointed since we had traveled abroad 3 times in 3 and 1/2 years which was unusual for us.
Favorite travel post
I really had a hard time choosing a favorite post from our 2 weeks in Europe last summer but I ended up choosing my post on Catalunya, Spain. We enjoy our few days there and couldn’t get over the beauty of the Costa Brava beaches. We definitely plan to stay longer next time we plan to travel to France via Spain.
This was such a great vacation. Of course, with 4 kids and traveling from Barcelona all the way to Paris, it was also exhausting since we were on the go most of the time but I got to see my godparents, my best friend from high school days, Caroline and my best friend to this day, Veronique.
Favorite post # 2: Republic of Georgia
I cannot share my favorite travel posts without sharing one from our trips to Georgia. We had hope to travel there this summer but it didn’t happen but who knows if we can make it work next Christmas. The republic of Georgia is a beautiful country bordering Russia, Armenia, Afghanistan and other country. It is an Orthodox country full of history, great wines and wonderful people and food.
As I was looking at my posts, I realized that I need to update and edit some of my pictures to make them larger. I went ahead and did that for the post I ended choosing as my favorite since it shows so many pretty places in the capital, Tbilisi. The Republic of Georgia, part 1 post gives you a nice tour of the Tbilisi and a taste for discovering more.
I had to include a picture of where we ate most of our meals when we were in Tbilisi, on the porch of the hotel.
Favorite travel post # 3: St Louis zoo
Our family LOVES zoos. We try to visit zoos when possible and for the past two years we have road tripped to Kansas City to visit 2 different friends. This past summer, we stopped in St. Louis to visit the zoo and enjoy our visit so much that we decided to plan our 2020 spring break visiting all of the cool things the city offers. This post shares some pictures for the zoo which is free (!!!) and gives you a little idea of how nice of a zoo it is. I think it is my favorite I have visited so far.
Even with visiting it two days in a row, we were unable to see it all. It is really large.
My favorite animal was probably the hippo: not too many zoos have hippos so it was really fun to see him close up. Another exhibit we loved was the penguin exhibit.
A bientĂ´t!

Such great pictures and how wonderful that you make it a point to visit these wonderful places! I may have to rethink our trip to Germany this year as well…tickets are so high and then I don’t know how the situation with the virus is going to be over there, from what I hear from my family everyone seems more stressed about it overseas.
Thanks for sharing!

I know, the prices never went down which unusual. My friends in France haven’t really mentioned it but I know that Germany had a high spread rate compared to others.

You like to travel as much as me. If I could travel the whole year, I would. Tbilisi sounds interesting. I have never been to Georgia. It is something to put on my travel bucket list. Thank you for sharing this post with My Red Carpet.

There is something about traveling to countries with very old history and the architecture. And learning about other cultures, seeing how others live. I do miss France more now than I have in the past 15 years.
Mica

Fantastic trips all! If I were to travel overseas, Spain is at the top of my list. I’m not a huge fan of the process of traveling, but I like it when we get there. LOL! I need a transporter like from Star Trek!
