July Outfits (Part 1)

The month of July has been a month of brights! I have also enjoyed my white shorts a lot and wonder how I survived without a pair last year: I continue to vary my outfits with wearing shorts, skirts and dresses. As I mentioned in another post, I really am happy with my Spring/Summer wardrobe which has been a combination of donating what I didn’t like anymore and add some new things. With a less strict budget and a couple gift cards, I have been able to find some budget friendly things to add and it has been fun shopping (online).

Yellows

Purple used to be my favorite and I still like purple but yellow has become my top color to wear. I now have yellow sandals, yellow earrings, yellow tops and this dress with yellow! Wearing yellow makes me happy and makes me smile. I rarely wear this dress without a tee on top. This Amour tee is such a great layering tee and because it is white with black writing, it works with everything.

You can now have a better look at my new Target yellow sandals: at $34.99, they were not the cheapest but I love the wide straps and they are very comfortable. I had a $5 gift card that I was able to use with them. I have worn them several times a week since getting them so my cost per wear is going down quickly! My blouse you have seen several times as it is a souvenir from our trip to France last summer.

I usually don’t pair two flowy things together but this seemed to work and it was a cool outfit for a hot and humid day. Used a giftcard to get the Loft tank (the rest of my Loft purchases are for fall so they won’t make an appearance for a while.

Modcloth skirt for the win! I still love this skirt!

Red/Orange

Another summer purchase was this Target skirt. Loving the red/orange color!

Remixed with a different shoe and top! The way you know that you made a good purchase is that you reach for it and you can style it in different ways.

This dress got its own post last week! I just picked up a half cami that I plan to wear under it when I do not want to worry about cleavage! The color in person is a little more orange/red than the skirt above.

This thrifted dress I call my bubble dress: I have had it for years now and always pair it with a pair of cropped black leggings. I love the neckline too.

My 4th of July outfit. I ever thought I would like white sneaks so much!

White Bottoms

I decide to try something new and use my denim vest as a top (with a tank under). I really like the look and am going to try it with other things. The vest mostly lays unworn.

Return of the hand me down leopard tee and my new yellow sandals. I love them!

Rarely do I wear my white jeans in the summer as it is too hot but on this cooler day, I paired them with this Amazon tank. Went through my jewelry to find something different to wear: I have a number of pretty glass pendants that I need to wear more often.

Wearing a Christmas gift from my best friend Vero @jolikrea. Her talent amazes me!

Hiking

Yes, I actually do wear earring when I am hiking. The only time I usually don’t is on my runs in the morning and my evening fast paced walks. I love how I can hike in my Keen sandals, ride a bike and go rafting. These sandals are worth every penny but buy them in kid’s size to save money!

The white adidas are fine for hiking as long as I do not encounter mud. I usually try to wear joggers or longer shorts while hiking to prevent bug bites and scratches for branches and bushes. On this hike, I met up with a friend and her kids which we hadn’t seen in about 4 years.
