Moto Jacket with Summer Dress

A couple weeks ago while browsing at Target (always a bad idea for one’s wallet), I saw this dress on the clearance rack. The color really appealed to me and when I saw the size XS, I decided to take it home and try it. I know that I can usually fit in an XS in the Knox Rose brand and I knew that I could make it work year round. I was pleased to find that it fit!

It was a windy day after church and we decided to stop in the parking lot of the French bakery (Douceur de France) to take some pictures. The dress has pretty tassels at the waist and a high low hemline. The floral pattern is really pretty.

I paired it with my booties and my moto jacket. I really never can describe the color of this jacket: it is not blush not beige but a color in between. Whatever the color, it pairs well with the dress and kept me warm!

The sleeves are a little long on the jacket but otherwise it fits really well so I overlook that detail. It is from JCPenney (ana brand) and several years old. A moto or leather jacket is a fun way to winterize a summer dress when you do not want to wear a denim jacket. It is also warmer.

This outfit got instant complements from my husband! I have been wearing my Anjolee earrings (they are a small hoop) non stop since I received them in my giveway basket from Kathrine Eldridge Glamorous Christmas in October giveaway.

I have been enjoying wearing something pretty, dainty and sparkly! Thanks again Kathrine for hosting the giveaway! I am also using the facial products that came in the basket.

The wind was ridiculous on this Sunday. But it sure was a pretty day! We have been enjoying lazy Sundays after church. I try not to do any chores but I did have a bootload of dishes to do.

I am glad I found a way to wear this dress in the fall. While I do tend to wear more muted or neutral colors in the fall, it sure is fun to wear a bright color on a sunny day.
