Florals for Spring with Thursday Moda

Ada asked me to join her this month for one of her Thursday Moda link up posts and I gladly accepted. I also enjoy collaborating with others and having an excuse to dress up and take some pictures. I chose this pretty floral dress I picked up on clearance from Target last fall (style for fall here) and wore it to church where my son took these pictures. The bright blue and pink were what attracted me to the dress followed by the ruffles.

I added my pink coral novas to pick up the pink from the dress and wore my Steve Madden sandals. There are some pretty knockoffs you can find now but at least I did get mine on sale. I shared my straw tote on Monday: it is really fun for Spring.

I really do love these colors! I was taking a look at my closet earlier this week and the variety in color made me smile. Even my dad complimented on this particular Sunday! I also have been trying to wear my bracelets most days: taking advantage of short sleeve weather to show off my collection.

What a sunny morning! It is sometimes hard to take pictures on the fly! I loved all of the greenery but there wasn’t much shade. I am loving the opportunity to take dresses and skirts out for a spin!

I thought these mossy steps were a fun backdrop for a picture. Steps to nowhere! I have been enjoying looking at things with a different perspective, finding color and textures that would look fun and interesting as a background for a picture. Thankfully, I am usually able to do that without people around so I don’t get self conscious.

Sunglasses: I needed sunglasses! I don’t know if you noticed but my hair kind of falls flat in these pictures: it is interesting to see how drying my hair without a round brush makes a difference. I am really low maintenance (I am sure you have noticed the lack of make up in my pictures) but there is one thing that I usually use: my round brush when drying my hair. Sharing the real me!

Here is a look at Ada’s cute floral blouse! I love that keyhole and look at those fun earrings! Notice all the print mixing with the tweed skirt and leopard flats?
