4 Ways to Wear a Floral Skirt

While we were on vacation, I found two pretty floral items and today I am sharing the floral skirt I picked up at the TjMaxx in Maryville, TN. On a side note, that was the best TjMaxx I have ever been in. My pictures don’t really do this skirt justice and I will say that I prefer the fitted options with it but I wanted to show some variety in styling.

Casual with a Sweatshirt

I wore this outfit while on vacation: we had intended to go to our friends’ church on a spur of the moment and I did not have plain shoes nor a skirt. So I picked up both this skirt and these cute sneakers at Tjmaxx. One of the boys ended up getting carsick so we ended up at Parrot Mountain in Pigeon Forge where this picture was taken. I will be sharing about this adventure later but suffice it to say we all loved Parrot Mountain!

The sweatshirt was the least casual top I had with me and picked up the yellow in the skirt. I just wished I had tied it in the back (an idea that I thought of later in the day) to make it more fitted. But this was definitely a comfortable oufit and you will see more of the skirt’s uneven hem and ruffle detail in some of the other pictures.

Cold Spring Day: with a Sweater

We came back to a cold 50 degrees day and headed to church that afternoon. Knowing I would be standing up for quite a while with choir practice, I opted for my Jambu shoes and a warm for not overly hot sweater.

Can’t wait for our grass to appear and turn green: it looks like I am standing in dirt.

With Sandals and a Bodysuit

I wanted to try the skirt with a more feminine outfit as well as a more fitted line so I opted for my black bodysuit and some sandals with a wedge heel. I definitely like this silhouette better and will wear it IRL. I recently picked up a white bodysuit from Express so I am hoping it works for me so I can wear it with some of my skirts.

With a Graphic Tee and Sneakers

Once again a casual look but a little more fitted that the first one above. These $20 Walmart white sneakers are the “bomb”.

Yes I do love these new white sneakers of mine compliment of a money gift: they go with everything and so much more comfortable than my Sam Edelman pair which I put in my donation pile. I think I will be wearing this skirt a lot this spring and summer. I can see it with tanks, with the addition of a denim jacket and all types of sandals!
