Dressing up A Pencil Skirt

I really enjoy the lines of a pencil skirt but still want to be comfortable while wearing one. So nearly all of my pencil skirts are made of nice stretchy fabric and have an elastic waistband. I only purchased clothes from SheIn once and this was one of 4 skirts I bought. I have worn it a lot with casual tees so this time I want to dress it up a little while still creating a comfortable outfit.

I chose this pretty purple lace tank I found at one of my favorite local consigment store (Uptown Cheapskate) a couple of months ago. I have tried really hard to make sure that my purchases have character and I did not have anything like this in my closet.

The overlay of lace is so pretty and I really like that the lining is the same color. I chose a pair of pretty earrings my husband got me some years ago at Christmas since they reflect that same color.

I am glad I can take pictures around my house when I am on a tight schedule. I just had to work with where the sun was. I thankfully had someone trim all of our bushes last month so it isn’t crazy wild.

I haven’t used  this little round purse as much this summer but now that I have a smaller wallet, I think I should finish the summer with it. I am actually looking forward to school starting as well as fall. I have been so busy this summer, it really hasn’t felt that relaxing!

This week, I plan to start looking at different things the children are not playing with and either sell or donate. I have a sand table outside that hasn’t been used and just collects rain this summer and there are several toys that I feel have been outgrown. Whether to tell my youngest or not is the question. I did reorganized the garage a little the other day but only threw out trash.

Then I might take a look at everyone’s closet again! No manner how many times I reorganize everyone’s closet, they are a few outgrown things to be put away, a few pieces to be donated or thrown out. I want to make it easier for the 2 youngest to get dressed and a few less choices might make it easier.
