Skirt Recap: August Sunday Showcase
Well, that was a month long of fun with skirts! I really enjoyed taking some of these out for a spin and I think my favorites were my midi and maxi outfits since they were with my favorite skirts. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like the others because I sure did and I tried to wear more than just skirts during the month of July even though they were my outfit of choice this summer.
Having a focus on skirts helped me stick to my decision to absolutely buy no clothes or things for the house this month. Each time I would post a blog post, I would tell myself: wow, I really have a well rounded wardrobe with a lot of choices.
It was also fun to take some pictures in different spots: being summertime, the boys had more time to take pictures and we went on a few big and small trips which gave photo opportunities. The lake, the library and downtown Marietta were some of my favorites.
My favorite outfit of Ada’s was the one below. I love the baby blue one shoulder top and I thought it was really fun with the asymetrical ruffled skirt! And since I don’t have many pretty heels, I love to see them on other. Ada, you look beautiful!

You have some great skirts. Sometimes we just need a little focus to be content with our wardrobes and having a fun challenge for ourselves to wear a certain item can do the trick.

You have so many wonderful skirts/dresses in your wardrobe and these are all such great looks! My favorite is the orange dress. That color is made for you! But they all are beautiful! I too plan on not shopping for anything clothes/decor/hobby related throughout the rest of the month and maybe even throughout September. I have way too much stuff!!
Thanks for the linkup!

Those skirts are lovely. I live in yoga pants and shorts but hubby loves it when i wear skirts. Thanks for hosting the party, it’s my first time here!

Welcome! I have found that the right skirts (love elastic waists) are just as comfortable as shorts especially in Georgia where it gets so hot and humid!

This was super fun, Mireille! And you really do have a lovely wardrobe with lots of styling options! I really like your flowy boho style maxi skirts the best! I have been wearing lots of maxi dresses this summer and not so many skirts so it was fun to see how creative you and Ada boh got with skirts!

I do! This was a great exercise for me to wear them more.

Mireille,
What a wonderful challenge you set for yourself. I adore skirts as well and, like you, probably have almost enough of them to wear a different one for a month without any repeats.

You do have so many beautiufl skirts, it’s fun that you enjoyed this challenge and it helped you stay on budget and not buy any new clothes for the month! I’m finding my 30 wears challenge is helping me shop less, as I’m looking at more ways to wear what I already own instead of trying to buy new pieces all the time. Gotta get those wears up, haha!
Thank you for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope you are having a good weekend 🙂 We have a birthday party to go to today 🙂
