Kindness with the Ageless Style Link Up
I always enjoy seeing what theme my Ageless Style friends and I are going to share with you! This month’s theme was kindness and what better way to style it than to choose my Be Kind sweatshirt! I shopped my closet and took advantage of our vacation in North Carolina this past weekend to take some pictures. I wore sweatshirts every day and have curated a comfy, but stylish collection over the years. This particular one is several years old and an Amazon find.
I often wear it when running, but occasional wear it for a casual outfit. I don’t like feeling sloppy or frumpy so I chose to pair it with a pair of straight leg jeans and my lug sole boots from Target. I really love the silhouette of these jeans and used some fabric glue to fold them under (they came cuffed but I didn’t like the look). I can always cut them for a raw hem look, but right now I really like them this way.
It was pretty chilly when we took these pictures as it was raining ice pellets and it snowed later on in the day. We were so excited to get 3-4 inches as it had been about 6 years since we saw snow. Us southerners are happy campers when it snows. I actually wouldn’t mind moving a couple states up from Georgia to get yearly snow!
I need to work on being more kind, especially at home and on vacation. I tend to get impatient very quickly and my responses and reactions are not always kind. Maybe that should be my word for 2023: Kindness!
Interestingly enough, I seem to have more colorful winter tops than summer ones. I will have to remedy that! I am looking forward to some thrifting soon.
I picked up 3 pretty bracelets in an antique shop and a pretty coffee mug on our trip. I love useful souvenirs. The bracelets will go with everything and will remind of our fun trip.

I laughed at your thoughts about moving up to the snow. You can tell you didn’t live with it for 40+ years, haha!!
But I have to say that this outfit shows the importance of updated footwear. Those boots make it look SO modern and stylist. If you had worn sneakers, it could be just ho-hum!!
Of course, I love the scarf too, but those boots just really make it marvelous.

I love how your scarf really pulls the purple out of your sweatshirt! You look wonderful in it. I agree with you…more snow is always a good thing! Unfortunately, we’ve only had a couple of good snowfalls, but nothing like we used to have. If you visit my post from today about play (I actually published two today), you’ll see the kind of snow we got at our old house 2.5 hours north of us. We used to get lake effect snow from Lake Michigan!

Such a wonderful color – it screams kindness and joy! I love your chunky ankle boots & your bracelet souvenirs are awesome! I have a beaded necklace I got on vacation – so many colors – I really don’t need any other necklaces – but those bracelets would match it perfectly!

Gorgeous purple in that long-sleeved tee. My PC loves purple. And it is a color I would like to wear more of just for him!! Clever hack to use fabric glue to hold your tucked under jean’s hem in place. Did you iron the hem first? I will have to try that trick.
I agree with Jodie, those great books make really kick this outfit up a notch. So cute. So trendy. My favorite black booties gave up the ghost this season and I haven’t anything I like as well. Might be time for a visit to Target.

I did not iron my jeans first but I should of. However, I did you the fold from the cuff that was already there. I do love that color of purple. I do agree the boots sure made a difference in that outfit. Wore them again with a boho dress today. And again for another coming up blog post.
