Camo for Spring and Summer

Most often, you associate camo print for fall and cooler months. What are some ways to make your camo appropriate for the warmer months? Jodie and I are sharing some inspiration to help you have fun with camo in spring and summer. When thinking of ideas of outfits to share, my first thought was brights! Instead of pairing camo with darker colors, choose colors you associate with summer to brigthen it up.

Camo with Orange

In the past, both Jodie and I have paired camo with orange. Here are those outfits. My outfit at that time was inspired by Paula from Dimples on my What.

Like me, Jodie added some other colors to her outfit.

Camo with Pink

I wanted to share different camo pieces and for a minute, I couldn’t find my camo tee. I thought I might have donated it since I do not wear it often, but thankfully I had not. Camo and pink make for a fun color combination and Jodie and I are sharing two different examples.

As I put the pictures next to each other, I realized that both of us are sharing examples of print mixing. My shorts have a very small print to them and Jodie is sharing double camo.

I really have enjoyed my little distressed olive sneakers. I am on the lookout for a similar pair in navy as I have wished I had a pair many times.

Camo with Yellow

I feel like I have had the idea of this outfit before but I never actually wore it until last month. I really worked well for a cooler spring day. The top is very lightweight (a souvenir from our last trip to Europe in 2019) and the cropped pants are not too heavy either.

I love all of the yellow elements in this outfit from the earrings to the sandals. If you do not have a pair of colorful sandals grab a pair. These are the same from the first picture in the post which was taken July 2020. They are just a pair of Target sandals but they still look and fit like new.

Jodie’s top is technically not yellow but I thought it still fit well under this category as the zebra print in her blouse is similar to my striped print above.

Camo with a Graphic Tee

I have several graphic tees that could have worked with this thrifted skirt, but I thought the flower graphic was perfect for spring.

I always feel like my most summery sneakers are my white ones as they brighten any outfit and they bookend this look well. This is not the most practical skirt to wear because of its length, but it is a fun one.

I love how each of these outfits were shopped from my closet and that each of these items is at least a year old or more. The pink Old Navy shorts are probably the oldest piece which is why they are actually too big on me now. But since I really like the color and print (I also have an orange pair), I will continue to wear them.

I hope all of these outfits gave you some ideas on how to wear some of your camo pieces during the spring and summer months. As long as the fabric isn’t too heavy and it is not a jacket, you should be able to come up with a few ideas shopped from your closet!
