Another Beach Coastal Outfit

Remember the outfit I shared a few weeks ago featuring these tan pants? I was inspired to wear a similar color palette to today’s outfit after KellyAnn shared some inspiration on IG. Now that we are in full summer form here, a lighter color palette feels cool and this time I wore it to a girl’s night in with church friends! Linen pants are just perfect for a hot day and pairing them with a tank was a simple solution for not getting too hot.

Shortening these pants (using fabric glue) was the best thing ever: I am now able to wear them comfortably with flats without worrying that the hem will turn black from being dragged on the ground. While I haven’t bought any clothes this summer, I did buy these dark brown sandals (I did not have a pair of flat brown sandals) and this bag. I have worn the sandals several times a week already bring the cost down to probably 2 dollars a wear! They were $20 at TJMAxx from the brand MIA.

It’s funny how such a simple, neutral outfit like this can really please me so much: I will be wearing this exact outfit soon! And you can bet it will be packed in my suitcase on my next vacation! I mirrored the brown in my shoes with simple leather earrings and since I have been trying to wear more of my pendants, I chose one with gold beads as well as a beaded bracelet.

The ladies at church have been getting together once a month for the past 6 months and this was the first time I actually went. It is a little hard to get away when I have to drive 50 minutes one way. I was telling my husband how easier it was for me to commit to running club because I only have to drive from 5 to 15 minutes at the most. But I am glad I finally made it!

I bought the cute canvas tote bag when it was on lightning deal for 50% off (I don’t think it is worth the full price but it is well made and very practical) because I can’t resist a little something with French on it.

I think the tote bag is a great size for the beach (think book, water bottle, sun necessities) as well as for traveling. It has a side pocket that fits a water bottle, a zipper closure on top so your things will not fall out and an extra zipper pocket on the back outside panel. As much as I love my bright outfits, I would wear this particular outfit over and over again!
