Parade of Thrifted Dresses
This past year has been my best year for thrifting dresses! I have never had any luck buying dresses on Amazon (apart from dresses for weddings), usually disliking either the fit or the material. So this year, my focus was to find dresses as I was thrifting wanting to update and improve my dress selection. I typically wear a dress every Sunday and the summer and spring month find me reaching for dresses more than usual. Today, I am sharing my favorites.
This dress is my newest find (at Uptown Cheapskate) and I paid 7 dollars for it. I will be sharing it in all of its glory on Monday, but I have already worn it a couple of times, so I wanted to share it today. Perfect color and print to transition into fall!
I have worn this dress 2 to 3 times this summer with different accessories. It is really nice and light for summer. My new navy Peekaboo halftee works really well with it (or my Maggie Snaps). Add boots and a jacket for fall!
Adding this picture to this post reminded me of this dress so I pulled it out to wear it again this past Sunday. I actually think it is an Amazon brand but I thrifted it in Chattanooga last winter. I love all of the pretty colors.
Another fun print that will carry so well into fall. I have worn this dress more with my halftee than without but I do love the halter type neckline.
When I thrifted this dress, I reminded me of fall but I wore it a couple of times this summer with white accessories and sandals. I love it!
So what is the perfect thrifted dress for me?
- pretty print that won’t go out of style
- waistline: I like dresses with a defined waist
- length: my favorites are above the knee and maxis.
- and it doesn’t hurt if the price is right!
A bientĂ´t!

Such a great collection, it’s hard to even pick a favorite, but I think the shorter dark floral dress (#2) is a particularly beautiful print.

That was the cheapest one at $1!

Gotta love Uptown Cheapskate. What a fabulous bargain that cute dress is. It will work well into fall. But your maxis, your maxis!! Just WOW. I remember seeing the Chattanooga thrifted dress before. It reminds me of happy things from childhood…a button tin my mom had and a brand of boxed chocolate candy my father always loved. It is such happy, playful colors. Glad you got it out to wear recently. I haven’t worn my maxis at all this summer. When PC was recovering from surgery we didn’t get out anywhere to wear one. And now summer has almost come and gone. He has Covid this weekend so no church for us. Maybe I can wear a maxi next Sunday.

Wearing my most colorful maxi today for church: it’s a little fancy but I only wore it once this summer so it’s time! Hope PC will feel better real soon!

These are all such pretty dresses, I can’t even pick a favourite! I really like thrifting dresses – like you I’m drawn to bold printed ones, I find they are so easy to rewear over and over as you can match the different colours in the print with different accessories 🙂 Plus you get a bargain and an instant outfit with just one piece!

I just wore one of them today again and added a belt. Such good dresses!
