Fall Shopping: Mustard Dress

After almost 2 months of refraining from buying clothes, I spent a week at the beginning of the month visiting 2 stores. I made a couple trips to TJmaxx (and only bought a sweatshirt) and several stops into Cato’s Fashion. I used to shop there often, but haven’t really much in the past few years, but it is always on my radar if I want to look for an article of clothing in a particular color. I was actually looking for things in burgundy or tan, but Cato’s often has some great things on clearance.

I ended up going into the store 3 times in a 2 week span. The first visit had be purchasing a tan tee and a pair of green cropped cargo pants for our beach trip, each on the clearance rack for $4.99. Next, I found 2 dresses for less than $8 each and last I bought a beautiful red tulle skirt (full price). There went my spending money for the month!

This dress caught my eye with its pretty shade of yellow mustard, its pockets and fun ruffled hem. Since it is fall, I wanted to wear it and style for fall, even if the day was warm.

A kimono is a great layer on warmer fall days because kimonos are typically made of a light material. I added leather earrings and a leather bracelet I have had since middle school.

I had not worn combat boots yet with a dress this season, so I reached for this pair I’ve had for 2 to 3 years. The brown ties in with the brown of the leather accessories.

My mom in law loved the outfit (my spending money was a gift from her) and I was comfortable and cute all day! Now you should have seen me trying to climb on this for the picture: my son was embarrassed! Did you had any fall pieces to your closet this season?

A bientôt!
