Travel Outfit: Spring Time
Last month, I put together a daily outfit and as I wore it that day, I realized that it would be perfect for my flight in a couple of weeks to visit my friend Jodie in Arizona. It’s a variation of my travel outfit to Costa Rica last fall (see here) and probably one I might wear on our summer flight too (I’m still trying to figure out if this would be an outfit I would want to be wearing for 20+ hours).
First of all, may I mention these white sneakers? I bought them a month ago at Academy Sports and I love them. I actually bought a back up pair when I linked them up since they were on clearance for less than $36 and I paid slightly more than that! I actually sized down a whole size to 6 but probably would have been fine with a 6.5 too. They are canvas and I love the platform height.
The skirt from Halftee is stretchy and I can sit on the floor or ground if I need too. It is really comfortable to wear and this is the second color I have (the other is eggplant which you can see in the post linked above). I am still tempted to buy another color as they are perfect for at least 3 seasons and really easy to style.
I’ll be packing for the weekend in this backpack which should fit everything I need! I love all of the pockets and how it expands. I have the travel backpack in the two sizes, Large L and Large.
I am very excited for our travel plans, but also for life these last months of school: prom is tomorrow for my oldest, graduation is approaching and spring is here. The 3 youngest are enjoying the outdoors more.
I don’t usually accessorize much while traveling my plane with the kids, but since this is a solo trip I might bring more than usual. I usually am more afraid of losing earrings than bracelets so I might bring more of those.
Here is a closer look at my accesories!
Do you have any traveling plans this spring or summer?
A bientôt!

I’m impressed you can fit everything you need for the weekend into your backpack! I am such an overpacker that I often pack MORE for a weekend than I do for a week long trip (at least it feels that way anyway). Those next 3 months are going to go by so fast, aren’t they? As far as I know prom and all that are still quite a ways away as Alec was just telling me they changed their prom theme again this week!

Each week has something going on that I need to remind my son about!

I cannot wait!

How exciting that you get to spend time with Jodie!
You are an expert traveler being able to pack all your needs into a backpack. I could use your packing advice. I seem to always overpack. But I am working on getting better.
We are heading to Hawaii in June.

I should make it work as long as I watch the number of shoes!

I have a feeling everyone will want a post-trip debrief that tells what you packed and how it worked out because that is an impressively small piece of luggage to travel with. I really like the color of the skirt! The outfit formula here is a winner.

I probably should! It is only 2 nights/3 days so as long as my shoes fit, I think the rest will work.

You may need more than a backpack so you can add things from our thrift shopping. Plus I have some goodies for you, LOL
Love this skirt, I might need to get one,
XOXO

The backpack extends and I am planning to bring a bag that expands! At the worst I thrift an extra bag lol!

How fun that you are visiting Jodie! I hope to meet her one day! I don’t think I could get away with just a backpack – you are a master packer!

So far, I think I will have room to spare in the backpack. We shall see when travel date is a little closer!

You are going to have so much fun! I hope you share some of the shenanigans! I’m impressed when people can pack everything they need in a backpack. My husband always did that for an entire week. But, he didn’t need skincare, either! I’m looking forward to my trip to Ireland and Scotland and need to really think about a new suitcase for that.

I am sure I will be sharing it all! I don’t use any skin care so that makes it easy for me.

Oooh, I love this look! It’s super cute and casual, but also great for travel. I love the idea of a skirt- but one that has a little length so it’s easy to move around in, you don’t have to worry about touching the airplane seat (haha), and once you land, you’re ready to hit the town!

Very true! You could switch out top and shoes for something dressy or keep it casual if you are doing touristy stuff.

That skirt actually looks very comfy!
