Casual Look for the Park: Hand me down Dress
Last month, my sister in law gave me a dress that did not fit her anymore. She hadn’t worn it in years, but because she had loved it, she wanted to share it with someone who would love it too. She knows that I won’t take something just because it’s free, so she brought it over and when I saw the color of the dress and the fun neckline, I told her, yes, this was definitely a dress that I would wear!
Comfort! That is the one word I would use to describe the dress I am sharing today! It makes me think of tennis or golf dresses, but in a longer length and without shorts under. The material is soft in and stretchy and because I wanted to hone on that casual vibe I paired it with sneakers and a white cap.
My cap is a souvenir from Costa Rica and one I tend to like to wear with dresses (not that I wear a cap much unless I am running). You may laugh but I wore two completely different earrings in these pictures, but did not notice till I got home!
Since this same sister in law showed me how to turn my morning coffee into a iced coffee, I have been drinking my coffee iced! I love this cup even though my brother broke the top when he last visited a couple years ago. It is from the brand RTIC and I find it keeps my coffee nice and cold even without the top.
I thought the neighborhood playground was a great spot for this sporty look. We’ve been taking a lot of blog pictures the last few weeks in preparation of school starting: my 3 youngest started yesterday! I am glad for return to a routine, but I am going to miss those lazy mornings!
I know we are supposed to enjoy each season, but I sure am looking forward to some cooler weather. On this particular morning, the temperature was so perfect (at 65 degrees) that we did get a little taste of fall! It was quite remember what we could look forward to! But alas, it’s August and I am sure our average temperature will stay in the mid 90s with a nice dose of humidity!
A bientôt!

What a fabulous hand-me-down, Mireille! I love the color and the print and it looks really cute with sneakers and a cap. I am looking forward to fall as well but I will definitely miss the lazy summer mornings. That morning school chaos certainly keeps me on my toes though!

Well, I didn’t notice the 2 different earrings, lol. It’s a very pretty dress with a stunning print. I didn’t hope that summer will last a few more months.

You look so good in this dress. I really like the blues and greens and especially the way you’ve styled it. Two of my grands started school this week. The third starts next week.
