Bright Orange for Spring

This bright orange Amazon dress from 5 or so years back doesn’t get worn very often for some reason. I love the color of it and it works well for church or a date night, but I typically wear it once or twice a year. I last shared it for fall in 2023 (here is the post) and just as I did today, I wore it with sneakers (just a different pair). This is inspiring me to pull it out more often.

I let the dress shine by choosing some more subdued accessories: small “silver” earrings and some bracelets. The fun tote is one that I thrifted in the fall for about $5. This is the first time I took it out. Totes are nice in the spring and summer as you can add a bottle of water and some snacks for outings.

Spring is the main season I wear my denim jackets even if only for half a day as it can warm up fast even in March and April. White jackets are great for lightening up an outfit.

I love the comfort of sneakers with dresses especially if I am standing in the choir for church. I can’t believe that summer is almost upon us: yes, I know the calendar just officially moved spring a couple weeks ago, but it gets hot here fast and school will be out is 6 or so weeks!

I am looking forward to a laid back schedule, this spring break short vacation and then a few trips this summer! I feel like the beginning of 2025 has been very busy between school activities and happenings, my husband’s work schedule and me spending time with my parents as well as trying to get together with friends more often.

I love this last picture: it screams spring to me! So like my son says, even though I might have things in the future to look forward to, I am going to enjoy each day as it comes and find joy in the little and the big things. Sometimes, that might be my morning coffee or my outfit, sometimes it might be playing with my children or a date night with my husband. Each day can bring joy and contentment even if sometimes those moments seem hard to find.

A bientôt!

What a smart son you have! Although I love to plan ahead, taking time each day to just enjoy the moment is so essential and something I work on. Anyway, I love this dress also. It’s vibrant and fun and looks comfortable. I think pairing it with sneakers gives it that “wear all day long” vibe. Its a keeper!
