Summer Patriotic Looks
Since I came up with a number of new outfits shopping my closet for the week of the 4th, I thought I would share them with you today to remind you to play around with combinations because there are many ways to wear the pieces you already have in your closet. If you click on the links to my other posts featuring red, white and blue outfits (here and here), you will recognize some of those tops and bottoms! This year I concentrated on some of the things I hadn’t worn in a while.
Maxi Skirts
- I have had this thrifted tank forever: the cute pattern and the drape work very well with everything in my closet, so I wear every year at some point.
- I love my vest, I love my skirt, I love my glass necklace: I love this outfit! Navy and a little bit of red pair with my fun maxi skirt!
Flowy Pants
- I almost forgot about this top (this is a head to toe thrifted outfit), but when I was thinking about what to wear Sunday afternoon after church, I remembered it and decided a flowy outfit was perfect for a comfortable fit.
- I wore this for comfort, and while I really enjoyed the outfit, I don’t really like this photo: we are such critics of ourselves! Maybe it’s because I had not slept well and I don’t like my pose!
Shorts
- I only have one pair of bermuda shorts but I really like how wearable they are! I should be on the lookout out for another pair while thrifting.
- My official 4th of July outfit: we went to our town parade and then took it easy all day and ate a wonderful meal of grilled grouper that my son caught last weekend (and I froze)!
Thrifted Skort and Midi Skirt
I hadn’t worn none of these pieces in quite a while, so it was time to style them. I love the variety in all of these outfits and how appropriate they are for my daily life.
Here are a couple more posts with even more inspiration:

You have so many patriotic looks! I love that blue maxi skirt. Seeing your outfits really makes me want to break out some of my maxi skirts; I think I’ve only worn one so far this summer!

The blue maxi had a big rip I decided not to fix so it is gone. I do love them maxis on hot days.

So so many good options right from your closet! I love the little gnome, how adorable and the perfect accessory for pictures. Here’s what I like most about this post, you are using pieces you already have to create a fun holiday look without adding a t-shirt that is one day a year use. I also liked how you used accessories to add subtle colors to your outfits. Whatever you wear it’s a hit!
