Fun at Brasstown Resort and Spa
It is always nice when there is fun to be had on property! We actually are planning to return to this resort for an overnight trip with the boys at the beginning of the boys Christmas break. Apart from the activities, I am sharing today, there were 2 games rooms for children, a gym and puzzles and game in the lobby area. One of the activities we chose not to take part in is horseback riding, but that is the one we will do with the boys.
It’s really fun to be a little competitive with one’s spouse. I know that I am unlikely to win at some of these games, but it is still pretty fun. There was a lot of teasing going on!
We have compound boys at home, so when I saw that you could book an archery hour or an axe throwing hour, we headed towards the stables where these take place. We were able to book one hour of archery and split the time between both activities which was perfect. It was $45 per person for the hour.
We also had been axe throwing once before, so this was a lot of fun too. I used the axes that were lighter and had more sharp ends, so it was easier. My husband still beat me, but I had a few bullseyes!
We also went on a short hike as well as a walk on the property and discovered some really pretty spots! The weather on this trip was just perfect! I also discovered that a heated pool can be pretty fun on a warm fall day!

A bientôt!

I do love seeing places that you go to that are off the beaten track (for tourists). Looks like this was great fun 🙂

This was really nice: the weather was perfect too!

That sounds like such a wonderful resort! My husband and I can get pretty competative too but I’ve learned that I’m most always going to lose at any physical or hand/eye coordination type challenges. I can often beat him with trivia/brain games though.

Same here, same here, but it sure was a lot of fun!

I have always wondered about axe throwing…it seems it usually takes place after lots of alcohol around here! What a beautiful place to stay!

No alcohol served here with the axe throwing and probably not the best time to do it if you are drinking. It’s not too difficult but not that easy either!

It looks like an absolutely great place! I like that you’re competitive with your husband. I’m the same. My husband is always trying to put in more steps per day than me, so I make sure I win ; )

That’s funny! One year my friend and I tried to outdo each other with steps and we had to stop because we were putting in 30,000!

What a wonderful place to visit! I haven’t done archery since I was in high school. Would love to try again. The property looks beautiful!

It’s really fun. Since the boys have compound bows, I occasionally practice with them!
