Time for a Repeat Outfit: Denim and Vest

Sometimes, an outfit is so good, you have to repeat it. Last month, we took an overnight trip to North Georgia and I decided to wear this outfit which I wore exactly in the same manner (minus the shoes) last January (here). The outfit is second all the way minus the earrings. It is one of those outfits that thanks to the neutral tones of it makes me feel put together while being really cozy thanks to the fuzzy vest.

When we arrived at the Brasstown Valley Resort, we checked in and dropped our bags and the boys and I then went for a walk. We did not cover the grounds of the whole golf course (which is a 18 hole course), but covered a large part of it. It was very picturesque, so I decided to take advantage of my oldest owing me some free pictures to take some blog pics!

I love finding backgrounds that add dimension and interest to pictures. Yes, the outfit is the focus of the blog post, but having some fun and pretty backgrounds sure can make it more interesting. There were a few older barns and buildings on this golf course, so we took advantage of them.

One of the boys asked why I wanted to take pictures with the highway bridge. Well, my son, it’s because it looks really cool as a background! I was glad to have worn some sneakers because I didn’t realize how much we would walk. Thankfully, the two youngest kept themselves entertained the whole walk and didn’t really complain about the distance.

I really like the little pop of color with my earrings. Turquoise continues to be my favorite gemstone. I have a couple pairs of earrings, a necklace and a ring that I love.

      I need to wear that vest more: maybe if if stay cold enough… I still have some things for winter I haven’t worn yet and I want to!

    Those are great backgrounds for photos! I think I told you this before, but I had a vest just like this and I got rid of it when it stopped trending. Now vests are back in again and I wish I would have kept it. You look great in yours. I think clothing items go in and out of style really fast today, and it might be better to hang on to a few things if you like them.

      I hang on to the things I like (whether trendy or not), but I do get rid of things that I put on and take off or feel like I have to wear them just because I bought them. I just went through my whole closet and made a couple bags, not much but some things that either I haven’t worn (like those fall hats of mine I haven’t worn in years and a few fun things I thrifting that are not really me).

    You have so many beautiful clothes but I absolutely LOVE this look on you. And I think I would like it on me!! That vest is so cute. So southwestern. I love southwestern clothing. The earrings do add a pop of color and bring attention to your pretty face. And this backdrop was dreamy for your photo shoot. Love the colors, textures, shapes of the wood and rocks. A+ outfit, photos and post.

      Thanks! I have really loved shopping my closet (even though I am getting the itch to shop now- 2 more weeks to go). It allows me to make time to wear every thing I already have.
