Fall Bucket List 2025

It’s time to share another quarterly bucket list! If you want to read a recap of my summer, you can read last Wednesday’s post here where I share some of our summer highlights and how I am progressing with certain goals.
I do not have much of a bucket list for this fall: the end of summer brings with it school and all that it entails which is a pretty busy schedule especially during the week when I have to remember where I am supposed to be. Add to that my twice a week visit to my parents and I enjoy anytime I have a quiet weekend or a couple hours in the day to relax.
Here are some family/couple goals:
- anniversary getaway is booked for October, so I am looking forward to enjoying that
- Thanksgiving beach vacation is booked and I cannot wait!
- a few hikes and bike rides
Home projects:
- the house exterior needs to be painted (we need to chose color and get it scheduled)
- laundry room project needs to happen
- a couple things need to be fixed around the house
Shopping:
- I am on a no clothes shopping break till Nov 1. So far so good since Sept 10
- make more budget friendly meals including a picnic lunch a week
Health:
- Continue to move 5 times a week at least
- Continue to make meals heavy on veggies and protein
- Limit sugar

A bientôt!

Great list Mireille! I need to jump on the no sugar bandwagon. Take me on your beach vacation!

I cannot wait for that vacation! Even though we were off this summer, our last vacation was the first week of June, so I am ready!

I love your Thanksgiving get away routine. When we dont have the moms, I want to put that into practice somewhere!!

I really love it, it takes out the stress and obligation… and I give my time at other times.

Limiting sugar is on my list too; I was doing so good at the end of spring but summer has been so bad with so many celebrations! It doesn’t help that my mom started making cookies each week and occasionally brought over containers for us to share. I keep thinking “after… (insert occasion) I’ll be all set.” And then something else pops up!

Lol! Sounds like my husband who told people I like European chocolate (which I do) for my birthday! That was one week of eating cake and chocolate because if it’s there, I will eat it.

You are so busy with three young men at home. I am sure you fall into bed exhausted every night! I hope your anniversary trip is lots of fun and full of relaxation and just being with your husband. Lots of good goals, Mireille!

I thankfully have enough down time during the day to even it out. Sometimes it’s more the metal tiredness of knowing where I have to be or what I need to be doing.

The sunrise pictures are gorgeous! Limiting sugar can be hard but I know you can do it!

I do well most days with the sugar especially if there are not favorites in the house!

I like the idea of a ‘no shopping break’. I started one in October 2024. Only I do permit myself to buy secondhand clothes through Vinted. I’ve loved it. It’s saved me a lot of money and I’ve found very cheap clothes : )

Buying clothes second hand has also helped me a lot this year. But I needed a break from even that, lol!

Enjoy your activities this fall, Mireille. It sounds like you have some fun things planned. And good luck with your house and wellness goals.

Thanks, Christie! We just came back from the apple orchard and even my oldest was in town to come with us.

Good luck with your bucket list! It will definitely help that you started some of things already (getting started has always been my biggest problem).

Yes! Getting started is the hardest!
