Colorado Daily Outfits
We just came back from a week in Colorado and today I am sharing my outfits for that vacation. I always like to pack with a loose theme, so that I can build many outfits with a small amount of clothes that will fit in a carry-on suitcase. For this one week vacation to Colorado, I chose greys, pinks and white as my colors. I wore most of what I brought apart from one scarf, a pair of denim shorts and a navy graphic tee. My least favorite outfit was the one with the shorts, but otherwise I thought I did well packing with 2 pairs of sneakers and a variety of comfortable bottoms and one warm layer.
Travel Outfits
My one requirement for a travel outfits is comfort: both of these pants have elastic waistband and the sneakers are easy to put on and off (even though we were not required to at the airport). I wore the same pair of earrings and bracelet for both outfits and got compliments from the serving staff at the restaurant for my scarf outfit. I have also worn dresses for plane ride and like that option too.
Garden of the gods and Old Colorado City
The two pairs of denim I chose were a loose fit because I wanted to be able to move in them comfortably. I bought this pair of Adidas sneakers for the trip: I wanted a pair that was cute, but comfortable for being on my feet all day too. My running shoes may be great for running, but they are not as fashionable as a lighter pair of sneakers like these. I highly recommend them: the fit was perfect! I brought along this sweatshirt I found at TJmaxx: loved it. I brought along some scarves for warmth and style and they came in handy.
Pike’s Peak
Pikes’ peak is above 14,000 feet, so I knew a scarf and a hoodie would be handy. My denim joggers are a little warmer than the thrifted Chicos pair above. The hoodie was another newer buy (from TJmaxx) and will be handy during the colder months.
Travel Day and RMNP
I wore each of these pants twice. The two outfits on the right were worn for hiking while the grey outfit was the one I wore from Colorado City to Grand Lake which is a 3 hour drive. The weather on this trip ranged from 40s/50s in the morning to mid 70s/80 in the afternoon.
On the Lake
I wore the first outfit shopping in Grand Lake, but got too warm so switched to the tee for our afternoon on the lake. Comfortable, but not one my favorite outfits, maybe because I felt like I had eaten more than exercised on this trip even though all of our activities were outdoors and we sure got some steps in.
