Christmas at the Beach
Have you ever wondered how they decorate in beach towns. Since we stayed on 30A for Thanksgiving, I knew we would see some beautiful decorations as some of the towns along this strip of South Walton beaches are a little fancy to say the least. We usually stay in the more affordable towns of Seagrove or Blue Mountain which are a short bike ride from Watercolor, Seaside and other pretty towns.
Our first full day at the beach, I took my youngest to Seaside and we enjoyed a fun snack and snapped some pictures. I had seen some of these nutcrackers before, but there were more this year.
Since I am seeing the Nutcracker ballet in our little town this week with some friends, I thought these were a propos. I actually have never seen it before!
I was surprised to discover this pretty little corner. I am assuming it is all set up for Santa. According to someone working there, they have had it set up like this for years, but I had never noticed it before.
I love Christmas decorations and how it warms up a space and makes it cozy, so I was delighted by all the pretty decorations we came across. I went home after the break and put up our tree that Sunday. I will be enjoying my morning coffee there most cold mornings!
I had to add this beautiful store fronts! They are just so pretty and classy!
A bientôt!

Ha ha, Christmas decorations and shorts. That would be a ideal situation to me. I love Christmas, but I hate winter and cold.

Lol! It wasn’t shorts at the end of that week lol! But yes, it was the perfect 21-23 degrees Celsius the first 4 days!

What a cute little town! Our town just has the regular old weathered light displays. I wish they’d get into the mood. Maybe, it’s because we’re just a few miles outside of Indianapolis, and they figure we’ll go there for the good atmosphere! Love all of these things…hope you enjoy The Nutcracker. It’s one of my favorites.

Seaside is very pretty: very expensive and we never stay right there but about a 5 miles bike ride away. I love it for pictures!

That is so interesting en nice to see! I too have wondered how people would decorate for Christmas in warmer climates!

This is an affluent little beachside town so probably not as fancy in other spots.

The decorations are really fun to see. Thanks for sharing. I live at the beach in Florida and it’s decorated with mostly lights and all kinds of flowers. Very different.

I think it is mostly because people travel there, that they really do it up like this!
